ACB to move SC against Revanth’s bail

In spite of Hyderabad High Court granting conditional bail to Telugu Desam leader Revanth Reddy after one month jail in cash-for-vote scam, ACB officials are daunting him.

In a new twist on Tuesday, the ACB officials made it clear that they are getting ready to move Supreme Court against Revanth’s bail in two days. While family members and Telugu Desam activists celebrated the occasion by distributing sweets and bursting crackers to mark the release of Revanth, the ACB sleuths declared that they will move the apex court in a couple of days after reviewing a copy of the court verdict.

Revanth’s bail is temporary: TRS

TRS leader Jeevan Reddy today said the High Court granted only a temporary bail and not a permanent one to TDP leader Revanth Reddy.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, the TRS legislator ridiculed the TDP leaders and family members for celebrating Revanth’s bail. He expressed surprise as to how the TD men can celebrate. His remarks assume significance as the ACB is gearing up to move the Supreme Court in a couple of days against the bail. The bail is temporary and the investigation is to slap notices and book other key players behind the cash row, he said.

CS reviews status of IX and X Schedule institutions

AP Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Retired policemen given farewell

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand, has handed over pension papers to retired police officers and also paid Rs 10,000 each from the Co-Operative Credit Society, Cyberabad. The retired cops have been offered posts of Special Police Officers (SPOs) if they are interested to join the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

TD leaders accuse KCR of hatching conspiracies

Launching a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, TDP leaders E Peddireddy and L Ramana alleged that KCR has been hatching a conspiracy against their party leaders to derive political gain.

Speaking to the media, they said the party would continue its fight for people’s problems whatever conspiracies KCR may hatch. “We will not compromise with problems of the people”, they said. Peddireddy said his party has faced many such situations earlier. He alleged that Telangana government is foisting false cases against the TDP leaders.

Probe into phone-tapping on: AP DGP

AP Director General of Police JV Ramudu has informed that the investigation in phone-tapping in cash-for-vote case was going on.

Ramudu participated in a review meeting with the CEOs of Oil Companies on Oil and Pipeline’s safety here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Ramudu stressed the need of Section-8 in Hyderabad. “There must be Section-8 in Hyderabad. We have no problems with Telangana Police”, he said.

Technical hitches delay Revanth reddy’s release from Jail by a day

Though TDP MLA Revanth Reddy succeeded in the High Court granting him bail, he could not walk out of the Charlapally Jail, where is lodged since his arrest on May 31, due to some technical hitches in completing the formalities for his release.
Soon after news about Revanth Reddy getting bail spread like a wild fire, his supporters and TDP cadre in hundreds from the city as well his Kodangal constituency thronged to the jail awaiting his release. The atmosphere before the jail reverberated with celebrations as YTDP cadre burst crackers and played drums and danced in gay abandon.

Release funds on priority, KTR asks Nihalchand

Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao today urged Union Panchayat Raj Minister Nihal Chand to give priority and ensure that arrears of 13th Finance Commission funds and others from central pool, be released with immediate effect to Telangana State.
