Technical hitches delay Revanth reddy’s release from Jail by a day

Though TDP MLA Revanth Reddy succeeded in the High Court granting him bail, he could not walk out of the Charlapally Jail, where is lodged since his arrest on May 31, due to some technical hitches in completing the formalities for his release.
Soon after news about Revanth Reddy getting bail spread like a wild fire, his supporters and TDP cadre in hundreds from the city as well his Kodangal constituency thronged to the jail awaiting his release. The atmosphere before the jail reverberated with celebrations as YTDP cadre burst crackers and played drums and danced in gay abandon.

However all their enthusiasm and celebrations turned into a damp squib as Revanth Reddyand two others could not get released due to some technical hitches. In the beginning there was a delay at the ACB Court as the judge insisted that the original bail should be submitted instead of a Xerox copy for issuing the release orders to the Jail authorities. When this procedure was complied with, there were other formalities to completed like depositing the security amount to the investigating officer etx. Thus the formalities could not be completed before the jail timings.

The advocates representing Revanth Reddy and others would be completing the formalities on Wednesday and only after that this release is expected. Though disappointed the TDP workers decided to mobile more number of person to accord him a grand reception as the arrested leaders step out of the jail. (NSS)
