Naidu can’t escape from ‘noose’: Mahender Reddy

Transport Minister of Telangana State Patnam Mahender Reddy today lashed out at Andhra Pradesh leaders for resorting to provoke the people on the infamous Note-for-Vote scam.

Addressing the media here on Tuesday, Mahendar Reddy accused Chandrababu Naidu of raking up Section 8 of APRA only to escape from the consequences of cash-for-vote case. He warned the AP leaders of dire consequences if they continue to provoke the sentiments to divert the cash row. “Despite his attempts to sidetrack the bribery case, Chandrababu cannot escape from the ‘noose’ as law will take its own course, he asserted.
Mahender Reddy also slammed the Naidu Government for pretending law and order problem in Hyderabad only for diverting the issue of cash row. He also found fault with the TD leaders for pressing the Centre to invoke Section 8 to transfer law and order powers to Governor ESL Narasimhan. He made it clear that the people of Telangana will not be provoked despite the efforts of the TD leaders. “The people of Andhra Pradesh and other States were living together in a peaceful and conducive atmosphere here. We will provide total protection to the people of Andhra and others and protect their interests in Hyderabad”, the minister remarked.
Mahendar Reddy also pointed out that Andhra leaders, who had compared Governor Narasimhan to God during Telangana statehood movement, are now resorting to scold him. The TDP and Congress parties would not exist in Telangana State in future, he said. He sought to know why Naidu could not remember anti-defection law when he himself encouraged defections from the YSR Congress Party and Congress in Andhra. He also alleged that many Andhra leaders grabbed lands in Telangana illegally. (NSS)
