Bangalore police seize gold worth 60 million rupees

Bangalore, June 12: Sleuths of Karnataka Police in Bangalore, who had arrested nine persons and seized from their possession stolen gold ornaments worth 60 million rupees, have managed to solve one of the sensational robberies in the recent past.

The Bangalore City’s Commissioner of Police S M Bidari disclosed this on Thursday.

A gang of burglars looted the ornaments on June 2 when they waylaid the manager of Muthoot Finance Company, a private non-banking company.

Recipe: Oat cookies

Ingredients:

1 Cup oats
1 egg
1/2 tsp Salt
1 1/2 Cup brown sugar
1 tsp Vanilla essence
1 Cup chopped pecans

Procedure:

Put oats in an oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.
Beat the egg.
Add salt and sugar.
Blend well.
Mix oats, vanilla and pecans.
Pour the mixture by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets.
Bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
Store in air tight containers.

Man axes two minor daughters

New Delhi, June 12: Apparently fed up with strained relations with his wife, a 25-year-old man allegedly axed his two minor daughters to death at a
village here, on Friday police said.

Yogesh Sharma murdered his two daughters – Aarti (4) and one-and-half-year-old Priyanshi – with a sharp edged weapon on Thursday when his wife Rinki was not present in the house at Jever village in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, Superintendent of Police (Rural) S K Verma said.

• 600 gm Paneer (Prepare small Paneer balls)
• 5 tbsp Corn Flour
• Green chilli (10 medium sizes)
• 2 tbsp Tomato Sauce
• 1 tbsp Chilli Sauce
• 2 tbsp Soya Sauce
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying
• 1 Green Capsicum (chopped)
• 4 Onions

Procedure:

• Mix Paneer balls with corn flour fry it in a kadai till it become brown.
• In a separate kadai, fry onions till brown.
• Cut green chilli into small pieces and add it to fried onion.

Six-year-old is India’s latest swine flu case

Hyderabad, June 12: India Friday reported one more swine flu patient, taking the number of cases to 16, with a six-year-old girl who had arrived here from the US testing positive for the H1N1 virus.

The samples of the girl, who arrived here along with her parents and six-month-old brother from New York on June 9, had tested positive for influenza A(H1N1), commonly known as swine flu, doctors said.

She has been quarantined and is being treated at the Andhra Pradesh Chest Hospital, the nodal centre for dealing with flu cases.

Ingredients:

• 1 Cup Moong Dal

• 2 Tsp Gram Flour

• 2 Green Chilies

• 2 Tbsp Chopped Cabbage

• 2 Tbsp Chopped Carrots

• 2 Tsp Fruit Salt

• 1 Tbsp Fresh Curds

• A Pinch Asafetida

• Salt to Taste

Method:

• Soak moong dal for two hours and drain the water.

• Add little water and green chilies.

• Grind the mixture in a mixer.

• Add gram flour, asafetida, curds and salt.

• Add fruit salt and mix properly.

• Sprinkle with chopped cabbage.

• Steam cook for about 10 minutes.

Shami Kabab

Ingredients:
• ½ Kg Minced Meat
• 2 Tbsp Channa Dal
• 1 Tsp Cumin And Coriander Powder
• 1 Tsp Garam Masala
• 6 Garlic Flakes
• 2 Pieces Cinnamon
• 3 Cloves
• 1 Piece Ginger
• 2 Cardamoms
• 6 Pepper Seeds
• 2 Tsp Chili Powder
• 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves
• 1 Egg
• Lemon
• 2 Onions
• Oil for Frying
• Salt to Taste

Method:
• Wash and soak channa dal in water for 30 minutes.
• Wash and drain the minced meat.
• Mix the chana dal, whole spices, a cup of water and salt to taste. Cook well.

Chicken Roll Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 Cup Cooked Chicken

• 2 Tomatoes

• 2 Onions

• 2 Eggs

• 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

• 1 Tsp Garam Masala

• Few Tortillas

• 2 Tsp Oil

• Salt to Taste

• Chili Powder

Method:

• Wash, clean, cut and cook chicken.

• Cut onion and tomato separately.

• Sauté chopped onions in heated oil.

• Add ginger garlic paste and fry.

• Add tomato and chicken.

• Fry well and add the chili powder, salt to taste and garam masala.

• Sauté well and remove from flame.

Strawberry Watermelon Punch

Ingredients:

• 1 Pint Strawberries

• 4 Cup Fresh Watermelon Juice

• ½ Tsp Pureed Ginger

• ½ Cup Sugar

Method:

• Wash and stem berries in cold water.

• Force through a food mill to separate seeds from the puree.

• Extract the fruit puree using nylon sieve.

• Combine all the Ingredients: in a jug, stir well and refrigerate for few hours.

Chicken Malai Kebabs Recipe

Ingredients:

• ½ Kg Chicken Boneless

• ½ Cup Fresh Cream

• 1 Tsp Red Chili Paste

• 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

• 1 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste

• 1 Tsp Garam Masala

• 1 Tsp Red Chili Powder

• 1 Tsp Cumin Powder

• 1 Tbsp Oil

• Salt to Taste

Method:

• Wash and clean chicken.

• Cut it into 1 inch pieces and make slits on all sides.

• Mix all Ingredients: along with chopped chicken pieces.

• Allow it to marinate over night.

• Refrigerate it after marinating for one hour.

Chicken Fry Recipe

Ingredients:

Chicken – 1 kg
Chilly powder – 2 tbsp
Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tbsp
Grinded Ginger – 1 tsp
Grinded Garlic – 1 tsp
Salt, Oil – As required
White part of egg – 3 eggs

Procedure:

1. Slice Chicken in big pieces and make cuts on them.

2. Mix Chilly powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder, Garam masala, Grinded Ginger, Garlic and marinate for 45 minutes.

3. Heat the Oil in a Kadai.

4. Dip Chicken pieces in egg white and deep fry.

An Indian Student Again Attacked In Australia

Merborne, June 12: In yet another racial attack on Indians in Australia, a 22-year-old student was allegedly assaulted by a teenager in Adelaide after making “rude” comments about his turban.
Police said the student suffered a broken nose in the assault in Adelaide’s busy market area of Rundle Mall yesterday and that they have arrested a 17-year-old youth in this connection.

They said the attacker has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court.

“One third of the mosques are closed due to the absence of imams,” Al-Sadiq Al-Othmani, head of the Islamic Affairs Department at the Sao Paulo-based Center of Islamic Da`wah in Latin America, told IslamOnline.net over the phone.

There are mosques in all the major capitals of the Brazilian states and some cities in the interior.

UP teen raped by father over 3 yrs

Lucknow, June 12: A 15-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh has accused her father of raping her for three years and making her pregnant twice, police said on Thursday.

“The class 10 student, a resident of Mahadev Nagar in Aligarh district, alleged that her father forced her into an illicit relationship, threatening her,” police inspector Udaiveer Malik said over telephone from Aligarh.

Nand Kishore, who is absconding, is a lecturer at a college in Sonbhadra district. A case has been registered against him.
