His message was also for the whole mankind he sacrificed his life in Karbala and saved the entire humanity. Muslim quota: Look at others, PM tells Maya

New Delhi, December 01: Responding to Mayawati’s demand for giving reservation to Muslims, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has asked the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to consider measures which states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala have taken on their own by including Muslims in OBCs.

The Prime Minister has also communicated to Mayawati that the Centre is studying examples of such states and trying to develop a consensus on measures that are justified as per the Constitution on the issue of reservation for Muslims.

Washington, December 01: The US has warned Pakistani leaders of dangerous consequences if there is another terror attack on India that originates from Pakistan, a former top adviser to President Barack Obama has said, asking Islamabad to give up the policy of supporting extremist elements.

James Jones, who was the national security adviser to President Barack Obama from January 2009 to October 2010, said the message that they should give up the policy of supporting terrorist and extremist elements has been conveyed to Pakistani leaders several times by top US officials.

German court to decide if Muslim pupil can pray at school

German, December 01: A German federal court was to rule on Wednesday whether a Muslim pupil has the right to pray according to Islamic rites in school, capping a more than two-year legal battle. The 18-year-old pupil, identified only as Yunus M, insisted on his basic right to religious freedom but school

authorities argued the practice endangered the smooth running of the state high school.

With about four million Muslims living in Germany, the case has sparked interest after two earlier regional court rulings first found in favour of the boy, only then to be overturned.

World’s first urine-controlled video game

Ghana, December 01: The world’s first urine-controlled video game has been installed in a London bar.

Visitors at the The Exhibit Bar in Balham can play one of three games every time they use a urinal.

Gordon MacSween, one of the game’s co-founders, said he was not sure how the public would react to the game initially.

But as soon he saw it go on trial at a bar in Cambridge he knew he was on to something good.

The game was designed to create a valuable media opportunity from the 55 seconds the average male spends while he pees just staring at a blank wall.

Education Ministry fights homosexuality in schools

Ghana, December 01: The Ministry of Education is optimistic homosexuality in the country’s Junior and Senior High Schools will soon be a thing of the past.

Ahead of World AIDS day which falls on December 1, Paul Krampah, the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, in an interview with Xfm 95.1 said the Ministry’s HIV/AIDS Secretariat has trained teachers who in turn act as facilitators to educate students on the menace of homosexuality and its adverse consequences including HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.

World’s first sex school opens in Austria

Austria, December 01: While many people may think it’s an activity which should be best learned behind closed doors, an enterprising Swedish schoolmistress thinks otherwise. Ylva-Maria Thompson has opened the world’s first international sex school for teaching the art of being better lovers, the Daily Mail reported.

The Austrian International Sex School in Vienna offers ‘hands on’ lessons in seduction for 1,400 pounds a term. The ‘headmistress’ says anyone over the age of 16 can enrol at ‘the world’s first college of applied sexuality’.

Opponents of education are the enemies of Islam

Reports such as blowing up of school buildings and torturing school going children by the Taliban are common in Afghanistan and Af-Pak border region. They are particularly opposed to the education of girls. According to an estimate, the Taliban have attacked and destroyed more than 500 educational institutions in the last five years. S Korea suspected of US arms tech theft

Seoul, December 01: South Korea is suspected of hacking US weapons systems and re-packaging the US-made arms technology for its own exports to enhance its defense industry.

South Korean Air Force has been accused of stealing Tiger Eye technology, which is a part of US-made F-15 fighter jet weapons systems, a Press TV correspondent reported on Wednesday.

American and South Korean manufacturers have recently signed a memorandum of understanding to provide Seoul with the Global Hawk spy drones which would patrol over the area between the Koreas and oversee the military moves of Pyongyang.

‘US sends terrorists to fight Syria govt.’

Washington, December 01: The US has reportedly released hundreds of terrorists from its prisons in Iraq on condition that they leave the country for Syria and fight against the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Man kills 3-yr old and cooks her

Moracco, December 01: A Moroccan man kidnapped a three-year-old girl, murdered her, wrested her heart out of her chest and cut the body into pieces before he started cooking the parts. Her parents who entered the killer’s house stood in horror watching him preparing their own daughter as his meal.

The girl went missing in the northern town of Tangier on Sunday, triggering a massive police manhunt. Her parents were told by a local resident that he had seen a man taking the child into his apartment.

‘Iran strike to paralyze life in Israel’

Jerusalem, December 01: Former director of the Mossad spy agency Meir Dagan has warned that an Israeli military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities would lead to a regional war.

Dagan said in a television interview on Tuesday that Iran, and the Hezbollah and Hamas resistance movements will respond with massive rocket attacks on Israel if the Tel Aviv regime attacks Iranian atomic sites, Haaretz reported.

He noted that Syria would also join Iran in that scenario.

Dagan added that such a war would take a heavy toll in terms of lost lives and would paralyze life in Israel.
