Croatian climber’s body found in Caucasus after 39 years

The Georgian interior ministry said that its mountain rescuers have found the body of a Croatian climber, Nenad Chulich, 39 years after he went missing in an avalanche on Ushba, one of the most notable peaks of the Caucasus mountain in Georgia.

The famous Croatian climber went missing and was presumed dead along with three other fellows in 1974. The bodies of two climbers were found right after the avalanche while the third body was found in 2012. The Georgian rescuers were tipped off this month by climbers about the possible whereabouts of the fourth body, reports Xinhua.

Om Puri gets bail, leaves for shooting in Britain

Actor Om Puri, who was accused by his wife Nandita of domestic violence, breathed a sigh of relief when he was finally granted bail.

In addition to bail granted Saturday morning, he has been allowed to leave the country on professional assignment. The beleaguered actor was expected to leave for Britain late Saturday night for the shooting of his new international film “The Hundred-Foot Journey” with the distinguished British actress Helen Mirren.

This brings to an end a week-long drama and trauma in Om Puri’s life when his aggrieved wife Nandita accused him of domestic violence.

Asaram in Jodhpur; Gehlot says no one is above law

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Sunday said that no one is above law as spiritual guru Asaram Bapu, facing allegations of sexual assault, was brought under arrest by a plane to Jodhpur from Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

Talking to media persons in Jodhpur, over 350 km from here, Gehlot said that no actor, politician or any other person was above law.

“Let the law take its own course,” he said.

“The police should be allowed to do its job of unbiased investigation. We want that whoever is guilty should be punished,” said Gehlot.

Nadu’s Bus yatra to create awareness among people on Telangana issue

TDP President Mr. Chandrababu Naidu is starting his Bus Yatra from today from Guntur. He blamed Congress and its President, Ms. Sonia Gandhi for creating anarchy in Telangana region. If Telangana State was to be formed, they should have met all the representative of employees, organizations and political parties to remove their apprehensions. Since this was not done, the situation in Seema Andhra area has become worst. He said that he is visiting Seema Andhra area to apprise the situation to the people of that region. Compensation to Yakutpura gas victims urged –Amjadullah Khan Khalid

Mr. Mohammed Amjadullah Khan Khalid, Municipal Corporator of Azampura division wrote a letter to Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy for giving compensation to Mr. Ghulam Mohiuddin’s family in which his wife, two daughters ,daughter-in-law and others had died. He regretted that no relief has been by the Govt. so far. After the incident took place, the victims approached him for getting them admitted in Yashodha Hospital, Malakpet. Since the family was poor they could not pay the deposit of Rs.5 lakh, they were admitted in a private hospital.

OU Students’ JAC held a meeting against Seema Andhra agitators

An emergency meeting of the OU students’ JAC and Telangana Azad force was held at Press Club Basheer Bagh yesterday. Mr. Mane Krishna, Sridhar Goud, Mr. D. Michael, Mr. Karunakar Reddy, Mr. Gridhar Goud, J. Jussy, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Mr. T.Naresh Goud, Mr. Sushil Kumar and other student leaders participated in the meeting. They said that they will not tolerate any obstacles created by the people of Seema Andhra in the formation of Telangana State. Dr. Quaisar Rehana retired

Dr. Quaisar Rehana , Additional Director of Unani Medicine retired on 31st August. She was first appointed as Unani Medical Officer in the Dept. of AYUSH and posted at Dharampuri in Kareem Nagar District in 1984. She was promoted as Senior Medical Officer and posted at Adilabad in 1998. She was appointed as Chief Medical Officer at Govt. Nizamia General Hospital in 2006. Later she served as RMO and Superintendent of the same hospital. In 2011 she was promoted as Additional Director of Unani Medicine.

Owner of City Light hotel arrested

Mahankali police arrested the owner of City Light hotel Secunderabad and gave him in judicial custody. Last month in an accident the hotel was collapsed which killed 18 persons. Police had registered a case of carelessness. Mr. Satyanarayana, Inspector of Mahankali police station told that Mr. Syed Hasan Biloki, owner of City Light hotel was arrested and given in judicial custody.
