Dr. Quaisar Rehana , Additional Director of Unani Medicine retired on 31st August. She was first appointed as Unani Medical Officer in the Dept. of AYUSH and posted at Dharampuri in Kareem Nagar District in 1984. She was promoted as Senior Medical Officer and posted at Adilabad in 1998. She was appointed as Chief Medical Officer at Govt. Nizamia General Hospital in 2006. Later she served as RMO and Superintendent of the same hospital. In 2011 she was promoted as Additional Director of Unani Medicine.
A function was held to bid farewell to her in which Dr. Mir Yousuf Ali, Principal of Nizamia Tibbi College and other members of the Staff offered floral tributes to her and applauded her services for the development of Unani medicine in the State.
