Mumbai, July 30: It is said that Kajol, who is expecting her second child is fuming these days. And the reason is that hubby Ajay Devgn is having a tight schedule as he is busy shooting for Rohan Sippy’s Golmaal and in promotional campaigns of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.

And so Ajay Devgn is unable to devote his precious time to his family, especially when it comes to catch her beloved Kajol’s brilliant performance in movies.

Apparently, his hectic schedule still hasn’t allowed him to catch wifey’s My Name Is Khan. And when we asked him if this was true, he had no answer.

IPS officer, 6 policemen charaged in Tulsi encounter case

Ahmedabad, July 30: An IPS officer is among seven policemen who were charged with criminal conspiracy, murder and kidnapping today in the encounter killing case involving Tulsiram Prajapati, a key witness in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter.

Vipul Agarwal, who was the Superintendent of Police of Banaskantha district when the encounter took place in 2006, was named in the 1,000-page chargesheet filed by Gujarat CID in a court in Banaskantha, about 160 km from here.

Party will respect people’s verdict: CM

Hyderabad, July 30: Chief Minister K Rosaiah said that the Congress party will respect the verdict of the people who have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Giving his reaction in the form of a brief statement released to the media, Mr Rosaiah said, “I respect the verdict of the people of the 12 Assembly constituencies where by-elections were held.”

Hyderabad, July 30: The seven Assembly constituencies of which results had been declared so far saw Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate Chennamaneni Ramesh capture the Vemulawada seat with a margin of 50,443 votes.

TRS candidate Koppula Eshwar captured the Dharmapuri seat by a margin of 58,854 votes.

In Sirupt, the winning margin of 15,214 votes went in favour of Kaveti Sammaiah of the TRS, while the Mancherial seat was captured by a margin of 77,922 votes in favour of Gaddam Arvind Reddy of the TRS.

GHMC staff more focused on bribes than work: TDP leader

Hyderabad, July 30: “The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation employees are presently focussing on percentages rather than on providing relief from civic problems to residents of the city,” accused Telugu Desam Party Floor leader in the Corporation Singireddy Srinivas Reddy on Friday.

Talking to INN, Mr Singireddy said that the situation was such in the GHMC that it was as if the employees were competing with each other to rake in bribes and kickbacks.

Tehran, July 30: Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani says Iran takes pride in Lebanon’s Islamic resistance movement for its steadfast Islamic stance.

Computer stolen from court

Indore, July 30: A computer and other items were found stolen from a local court, police said today.

Thieves broke into the room of the district and sessions court here last night and fled with a computer, key board, CPU, printer and other things, they said.

A case has been registered and investigations were on to nab the accused, police added.

Shift Sohrabuddin case outside Guj: CBI to SC

Ahmedabad, July 30: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday requested the Supreme Court to transfer the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case outside Gujarat claiming that the atmosphere in the state was not conducive to a fair investigation. The agency made the request while filing its report on the Sohrabuddin encounter case to the Supreme Court and sought more time to investigate.

CBI also said in the report that their investigation could go beyond former Gujarat minister Amit Shah, who is already under arrest in the case.

Officer Shahid flies a combat aircraft Tornado in UK

Mumbai, July 30: On Tuesday, Shahid Kapoor flew a Tornado battle aircraft at the Royal Airforce airbase in Leuchars near Edinburgh while shooting for his father’s Mausam. Shahid plays an airforce officer in the film.

Al-Qaida forms army of 12,000 fighters

Sana’a, July 30: The Yemen-based wing of militant outfit al-Qaida has threatened to “cleanse the land” with a new army of 12,000 fighters.

“We have a good news for the Islamic nation, that an army of 12,000 fighters is being prepared in Aden and Abyan,” Xinhua quoted Mohamed Saied al-Omda, field commander of the al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) as saying in an audio recording posted on a website on Thursday.

“By this army, we will establish an Islamic Caliphate,” said al-Omda, referring to Yemen’s southern province of Abyan and the port city of Aden.

AP bypolls: Congress loses from Nizamabad Urban constituency

Hyderabad, July 30: In a major setback to the ruling Congress in Andhra Pradesh, the party’s state unit president D Srinivas lost the bye-election from Nizamabad Urban Assembly constituency today.

BJP candidate Y Laksmi Narayana defeated Srinivas by a margin of 12,000 votes. Earlier in the 2009 Assembly elections, Srinivas had lost from the Nizamabad Urban constituency to Lakshmi Narayana.

The bypoll in Nizamabad, alongwith 11 other constituency in Telangana region, was necessitated as the sitting MLAs had quit their posts in support of separate Telangana statehood demand.
