Driver gets killed in a robbery attempt

Hyderabad, July 25 (Siasat News): In a bizarre incident, a driver of the DCM van was electrocuted when he had gone to the house of the electrician with the intention of robbery in Raidurgam but fate had something otherwise.

According to Inspector Raidurgam, Mr. Suresh, DCM van driver D Ganesh, 28 was trying to jump off the wall of the electrician’s house as he wanted to gain entry in the house but came in connection with the live wires laid there.

Woman ends life

Hyderabad, July 23 (Siasat News): A 35-year-old woman Pushpalatha who was under tremendous pressure in connection with the marriage of her daughter committed suicide in the jurisdiction of Alwal police station.

The resident of Venkatapuram Madhu’s wife Pushpalatha, poured kerosene on her body and set herself ablaze.

Her daughter got herself married without the consent of her parents a year ago and this has put both husband and wife under tremendous mental pressure.

Woman labourer’s suspicious death

Hyderabad, July 16 (Siasat News): A woman labourer died in suspicious circumstances in Banjara Hills.

She was working in an under construction building and was living in adjacent slum colony. According to Banjara Hills police, Laxmi, 25, was working in YSR Residency and during the work she slipped down accidentally, which proved fatal for her, as she could not survive in the hospital during the treatment.

Police has registered a case of suspicious death and further investigations are on.

Woman killed paramour

Hyderabad, July 13 (Siasat News): A woman set her paramour ablaze in Sanathnagar. The 33-year-old woman Vajra, after having a row with her paramour, 50-year-old Krishna, set him ablaze mercilessly.

According to the inspector Sanathnagar Mr. Biswa Reddy, Vajra attacked Krishna at 3 am and hit his head with a heavy object. Later, she poured kerosene on his body and set him ablaze.

Three thieves arrested in Asifnagar

Hyderabad, July 12 (Siasat News): Asifnagar police has arrested three thieves who used to commit crimes in different houses.

There is a mother-son duo also in the gang.

According to inspector Asifnagar, Md, Javed, those arrested are Kavitha, 37, her son Yadagiri, 22 and a professional thief Sudhakar, 22 and recovered two motorbikes, 7 tolas gold ornaments and three cellphones estimated to Rs. 2,75,000.

Police has handed them over to judicial custody.

Hyderabad, July 11 (Siasat News): Police played a very important role in getting an advocate released from the clutches of the kidnappers. Five persons are arrested in this connection.

According to the details, five unidentified persons had kidnapped Mr. Hanumantha Rao, a high court advocate and resident of Amberpet in their car yesterday. When he did not return home the same day, his wife Hemavathi lodged a complaint with Amberpet police.

Online marketing shops raided

Hyderabad, July 9 (Siasat News): The North Zone task force police raided on two franchises of the Surat based Pro Online Marketing Pvt. Ltd., in the city and arrested three persons who allegedly cheated more than 3000 persons in a money circulation scheme.

The police seized three laptops, three computers, ten hard disks, three cellphones, one card swiping machine and Rs. 1.5 lakh in cash from their offices. Bank accounts of the accused with nearly Rs. 2.25 crore were also frozen.

Attempt to sell antique idols foiled

Hyderabad, July 7 (Siasat News): The city police on Tuesday apprehended four persons while they were trying to sell an antique bronze idol of goddess Laxmi which is reportedly a century old, in Moosarambagh in Malakpet.

The accused are M Bhaskar, S Peddi Raju alias Raju, M Kamalanath Reddy alias Kamal and B Jaganmohan Reddy. Their associate Madhu Charry, 32, a resident of Bhadrachalam in Khammam district, is absconding.

The accused and the seized property were handed over to the Malakpet police for further action.

ATM Card thief caught on camera

Hyderabad, July 6 (Siasat News): A ‘charity’ thief who misused the ATM card of an assistant sub-inspector of police was caught on video camera making purchases with it at a petrol pump.

The man had used Rs. 57,611 from the card of the ASI Mr. J Kalki Murthy, who is posted in the DGP’s office, to purchase fuel, medicines, rice and other provisions. He told the shop owners that he is making the purchases for an orphanage that he is ostensibly running.

Hyderabad, June 30 (Siasat News): In a late night committed crime, 40 kgs silver stolen from General Bazar in Secunderabad. According to market police, the heist took place at the shop of Srinath Ji Jewellers.

The unidentified burglars entered the shop from the first floor of the building and decamped with 30 kgs silver and 10 kgs silver ornaments.

Not only this, they also took away Rs. 2 lacs in cash. Following a complaint by the owners of the shop, the police is busy investigating.

Hyderabad, June 24 (Siasat News): The cyber crime police on Thursday arrested Aditya Naveen Kumar, the owner of an advertising agency for sending defamatory emails and offensive messages to the senior manager of a bank.

Aditya suspected that the bank official was responsible for the collapse of his business. The police seized one cellphone and a SIM card in the offence along with the hard disk of Aditya’s computer and two hard disks from Sai Internet Café located in Chikkadpally from where the accused accessed his email.

Unknown girl found dead

Hyderabad, June 23 (Siasat News): A 14-year-old girl was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Peeran Cheruvu at Aaramgadh crossroads in Rajendranagar.

The police had initially suspected that she was sexually assaulted and murdered but later said that she was hit by a vehicle. The girl is yet to be identified and is suspected to be mentally unsound.

The body was shifted to the Osmania Hospital where the doctors conducted post mortem and said she was not sexually assaulted.

Don Farah issued externment notice

Hyderabad, June 16 (Siasat News): The city police commissioner Mr. A K Khan issued externment orders to 12 rowdy sheeters including ‘lady don’ Farah Fatima, rowdy sheeter of Dabirpura police station in order to keep the city’s atmosphere peaceful and violence-free.

She was earlier detained under the P.D. Act. After her release from jail in 2003, she was involved in seven criminal cases and has been accused of maintaining a gang of anti-social elements.
