ICET-2012 key released

Integrated Common Entrance Test-2012 convener Prof K Om Prakash on Friday released the key of ICET at Kakatiya University premises.

Prof Prakash appealed to the candidates to visit the website www.icetku2012.net to get further details. He said that the candidates can file any objections over the key before May 31. Stating that the final key of ICET would be released on June 2, he said the results of ICET would be released in the second week of June. (INN)

Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayan on Friday denied allegations that the ruling party was trying to defer the by-elections by arresting Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy in disproportionate assets case.

Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa said that Jagan has been trying to mislead the people by leveling baseless allegations against the Congress party accusing it of trying to defer the polls. He said that the Congress party was sure of its victory in by-elections and would never play dirty politics to counter a political opponent.

Amid tight security, YSR Congress party president and Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation to face questions in connection with the disproportionate assets case against him.
Jagan reached the Dilkusha Guest House, CBI’s temporary office, at around 10.30 am in a heavily guarded convoy. Security personnel in large numbers were deployed on the entire 7-km stretch from Jagan’s residence Lotus Pond in Banjara Hills to Dilkusha Guest House on Raj Bhavan Road.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded the arrest of Kadapa MP and YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in connection with the disproportionate assets case.

HC Asks N.D. Tiwari to Give Blood Sample on May 26

Congress leader N D Tiwari was today asked by the Delhi High Court to appear in person on May 26 before it to give blood sample for a DNA test to decide the paternity suit of a man claiming to be his son.

“Defendent number 1 (Tiwari) is directed to appear on May 26 at 12 noon along with his two photographs,” Joint Registrar of Delhi High Court, Deepak Garg, said, adding that the court should not rush to take police assistance for enforcing its order.

Vishay Handa, director of a city-based hotel where a rave party was held last night in which two IPL players were present, was on Monday arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

“Handa, organiser of the rave party and director of Oakwood Premier Hotel, has been arrested under NDPS Act… as charas and cocaine were found at the venue. He has been booked under the Act,” said a police officer.

Police had said last night that two IPL players from the Pune Warriors team, one of them a foreigner, were among the 96 persons who were detained following a raid.

US has plan to attack Iran over nuclear threat

19-yr-old created fake Facebook profile of Mumbai top cop

Sleuths of the city’s cyber cell have arrested a 19-year-old student from Delhi for creating a fake Facebook profile of Police Commissioner Meeran Borwankar.

Identified as Anubhav Bipinkumar Yadav, the accused hails from Dhanao in Uttar Pradesh. The police said Yadav was pursuing his Bachelor of Business Administration.

During the investigation, it was also learnt that Yadav had earlier created a community called ‘Save Girls-Safe Nation’, and another account calling himself ‘Madam’ to promote the initiative.

Shia groups clash in Lucknow
