Govt should provide facilities for the Physically Handicapped persons: Gaddar

Hurting the hearts of the physically disabled persons is a very regrettable act. It should be condemned vehemently. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Gaddar, the revolutionary poet and singer at the gathering at Indira park. Dharna programme was organized to attract the attention of the Govt. President of the Forum for the Physically Handicapped Mr. Nageshwara Rao, TDP leader Mr. Koteshwara Rao, Vice President of People’s Democratic Front Mr. M. Representation to Urdu knowing teachers in Urdu University: G. Mallesh

Mallesh demanded the Chief Minister to represent the matter to Central Govt. for issuing instructions to the authorities of Urdu University to appoint Urdu Knowing teaching staff. He also demanded to institute an enquiry to probe into the irregularities committed by the University in appointing non-Urdu knowing teachers. Ghulam Nabi Azad to be relieved of AP Affairs

It is learnt that Congress High Command is contemplating to relieve Ghulam Nabi Azad of the responsibility of A.P. inchargeship as he has not been able to resolve the internal disputes of Congress party in the state. Ex-Constable Abdul Quadeer shifted to hospital from Jail

Mr. Mohammed Abdul Quadeer, a former police constable who is serving life sentence in Cherlapally jail was shifted to Gandhi Hospital on the advice of the jail doctors. He was imprisoned in 1990 and he has completed the term of life sentence in jail. He was undergoing treatment in jail hospital for the past one month. When his illness became severe he was advised to be admitted in Gandhi Hospital on 19th March.

Muslim applicants deprived of Rajiv Gruha Kalpa scheme

It seems that uncertainty prevails in the implementation of Rajiv Gruha Kalpa scheme Housing programme for the urban poor. Applications were received under this scheme with a promise that poor people living in urban areas would be given houses and an amount of Rs. 1,000 was also collected from each applicant by the staff of collectorate Hyderabad.

Certificate Distribution in Darul Uloom Mohammedia, Amberpet

Under the auspices of Abid Ali Khan Educational Trust and Idara-e-Adabiat-e-Urdu, for the past ten years, Urdu examinations are being conducted. A function was held to distribute certificates to the students studying in Darul-Uloom Mohammedia, Amberpet and learning Urdu Language. Strong protest for refunding Minorities Budget

Various Minorities organizations recorded their protests on the action taken by the Dept. of Minorities Welfare for refunding the allocated budget amounts earmarked for various Welfare schemes concerning the development of Minorities. In a press conference held yesterday the leaders of All India Muslim Minorities organization told that at the Central Govt. level Rs. 587 crore are being returned to Govt. as unspent balance which testify to the inaction and incompetence of the officials to implement various schemes.

Two more suicide attempts for the cause of Telangana

The suicide spree over delay in formation of separate Telangana state continued on Tuesday with two more attempting suicide by immolating themselves. Both of them are battling for their lives. An Intermediate student torched herself in her home in Pallenizamabad village in Konaraopet mandal in Karimnagar district on Tuesday night. Nishan Pallavi, 17, was rushed to Sircilla government hospital with 90%burns.

State accused of failure to spend central funds for Minority Welfare

All India Muslim Minority Organization (ALMMO) has accused the State government of adopting a negligent attitude in spending the funds released by the Union Government for Minorities welfare.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, ALMMO President Syed Mukhtar Hussain said though the Central government had sanctioned Rs 587 crore for welfare of minorities in 2011-12 financial year, the State government has failed to spend the full amount, and it has spent only Rs 125 crore so far.

Errabelli denies to have resigned

TDP Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakara Rao has refuted reports in a section of the media stating that he had resigned to that post, owning responsibility to the party’s defeat in the sixseats in Telangana, where by-elections were recently held.

Talking to the media here on Tuesday, he said there was no truth in these reports and added that he did not understand the basis for these reports.

APIIC acquires 4532 acres for Mega Park

Andhra Pradesh Major Industries Minister, Dr Geeta Reddy, today informed the State Assembly the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Inrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has acquired about 4532 acres of land for Mega Industrial Park at C.K.Dinne Mandal of Kadapa District in the state. Responding to a question raised by members in the House, he said the preliminary survey work for Mega Park was conducted and establishment of approach road to park at Kopparthy from Kadapa-Bellary Road was in progress.

HM admits to illegal clubs in city

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy today admitted that several clubs were being run illegally in the State, particularly in the limits of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. In her reply to a question raised by MLAs K Srisailam Goud and A Rajender during Question Hour in the State Assembly, the Minister said playing cards and other illegal activities were taking place in the clubs situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad City in the guise of farm houses.

She said regular raids were being conducted and several cases booked. UNI

CM warns detractors not to cross ‘Lakshman Rekha’

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy today warned detractors in the Party that stern action will be taken against them if they indulge in anti-party activities. Talking to reporters at his chamber in the Assembly, he said ‘the party would take suitable action against those at the right time.’ He said the party had given giving several opportunities to the leaders, with out naming them, to correct themselves and if they cross the ‘Lakshman Rekha’ stern action would be taken against them.

6 arrested in murder case

The city police have solved a murder case by arresting six people involved in the crime while nine others are absconding. Sleuths of Kanchanbagh and Santoshnagar Police Stations unravelled the mystery behind the murder of Ahmed Ali Khan alias Ilyas Ali Khan that took place in Gods Power Gym Kanchanbagh on March 19 last year by nabbing the accused here yesterday. They have also seized five knives, one cell phone, two wheelers and one country-made pistol with a live round from their possession, police said today. The accused included two advocates besides some businessmen and shop owners.

3 held, seizes Rs 10 lakh worth brown sugar

The City Task force have arrested three drug peddlers, including two natives of Rajasthan and seized Rs 10 lakh worth brown sugar, weighing one kg, from them at Masab tank in the city here today.

On a tip off, the TasK Force Team conducted raid and apprehended Mohd.Adil of Bidar in Karnataka and Noushad Khan and Ghanshyam Meena of Rajasthan who had procured the narcotic substance and were waiting to sell the drug to customers near Chacha Nehru Park in the city, police said in a release here.
