Errabelli denies to have resigned

TDP Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakara Rao has refuted reports in a section of the media stating that he had resigned to that post, owning responsibility to the party’s defeat in the sixseats in Telangana, where by-elections were recently held.

Talking to the media here on Tuesday, he said there was no truth in these reports and added that he did not understand the basis for these reports.

It may be mentioned here that Dayakara Rao has resigned to the post. It was said that he has been unhappy since quite some time about the behaviour of Motkupalli Narasimhulu and Revanth Reddy. The two have been taking up various programmes on their own, without even consulting the Forum. It is learnt that Dayakara Rao has already complained to the party chief N Chandrababu Naidu about the behaviour of these two leaders and as he had not taken any action to contain them, Dayakar Rao was convinced that Naidu was deliberately encouraging them. Errabelli has taken the occasion of the defeat of the party as an excuse for quitting his post and thereby registering his protest to Naidu. It is learnt that Errabelli has expressed his anguish about the defiance of these two leaders and lamented that he was unable to move about even in his own constituency as the two have been defaming him.

It is also being said that Errabelli was actually thinking of quitting the TDP and his Assembly membership, so as to join the Telangana movement like his former colleague Nagam Janardana Reddy. By quitting the post, he is believed to be thinking of regaining the confidence of the people of Telangana. Errabelli was also cut-up with Naidu for not selecting him for Rajya Sabha, while giving chance to Devender Goud, who had quit the party and rejoined it. (NSS)
