New superfoods with key protein may keep body cells healthy

A new study has demonstrated that new superfoods that fight heart disease and diabetes could be developed with the help of a protein that helps keep cells in their bodies healthy.

The survey conducted by the University of Warwick, found out that the protein, called Nrf2, continually moved in and out of the nuclei of human cells to sense the cell’s health and vitality.

Lead researcher Professor Paul Thornalley said that the way Nrf2 worked was very similar to sensors in electronic devices that relied on continual reassessment of their surroundings to provide an appropriate response.

Encroacher in AP capital region has intruded around 1000 acres of forest lands and due to this the AP government has come to a decision to evict encroachers in the Guntur and Krishna districts around Vijayawada city.

Attacking the BJP, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said those who had promised “achche din” have now lost their way to “love jihad” and asserted that people are extending support to the ruling Samajwadi Party in the bypolls.

All India Sunni Jam-iyyathul Ulama, a Muslim outfit, has asked the community to reject the reported call of al-Qaeda to expand its activities in India.

World’s tallest dog Zeus dies at 5

The Michigan Great Dane named Zeus, who was the world’s tallest dog, has died at age 5.

Kevin Doorlag, owner of the dog, said that Zeus, who was 44 inches tall at the shoulder and 7 ft 4 inch on his hind legs, was entered in the Guinness World Records as the tallest living dog the made in 2012 edition, CBS News reported.

The Otsego resident said that Great Dane, who weighed 165 pounds and consumed a 30-pound bag of food every two weeks, was a local celebrity in the Kalamazoo area and acted as a therapy dog at local schools and hospitals.

The Cyberabad cyber crime police arrested four persons for sharing video clipping of rape incident by the members of ‘snake gang’ of Shaheennagar. Inspector Cyber Crime Mr. Muhammad Riyazuddin told that members of infamous ‘snake gang’ had raped a girl under Pahadi Shareef police station limits on July 31. Royal prank radio station donates $550,000 to India-born nurse’s family

An Australian radio station, which aired a prank on an India-born nurse who later took her life after the broadcast of the prank, has donated $550,000 to her family to help them rebuild their lives.

Southern Cross Austereo said it was donating the money to a trust fund for Jacintha Saldanha’s family.

“We do not assume, of course, that this donation or any amount of money could relieve the feelings of loss felt by Saldanha’s family. But it is our hope that it may help them,” a spokeswoman said in a statement.

Imran, Qadri to end talks with Pak government following crackdown on supporters

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek ( PAT) chiefs Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri have announced that the negotiations with the government will be ended after a crackdown on Friday when around 300 activists were picked up from across the capital Islamabad.

According to Dawn, Khan told Shah Mehmood Qureshi that talks with the government should come to a halt.

Qadri said that they had suspended the dialogue with the government as they had started arresting workers from the capital.

He said that it was a result of these arrests that all talks would be suspended.

An Indian pharmacologist and an American pharmacist have been charged with smuggling four million misbranded and counterfeit pharmaceuticals into the US, federal prosecutors said.

Indian Balbir Bhogal, 67, from Las Vegas, and Wisconsin-based pharmacist Marla Ahlgrimn, 59, were arraigned on an indictment yesterday in federal court in Central Islip, New York, before US Magistrate Judge Gary Brown.
