Burglars decamp with gold and net cash

Some unidentified burglars committed the theft of gold and cash by breaking open into a locked house in the limits of Reinbazar police station.

According to Reinbazar police, a complaint lodged with the police Altaf, a Businessman from Moula Ka Chilla of Reinbazaar, he along with other family members, went to his in-laws house on Sunday. However, when they returned home on Monday, they found that the lock of the house and almirah were broken and theft 16 Tulas of Gold Ornaments, and 2 lakhs net cash were found stolen.

Exam fear drives student to suicide

The fear of examinations drove a 19-year-old student to commit suicide by consumed unknown poison at her residence in the limits of Alwal police station.

Felt insulted, man commits suicide

Having felt insulted on being allegedly beaten by brother in law, a 28-year-old man committed suicide by setting himself ablaze.

KCR favors helicopter survey for water grid

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today decided to spend about Rs 317 cr to conduct helicopter survey for the ambitious program of Telangana Water Grid.

Informed sources said the TRS Government will call tenders in two months and set up 24 water grids across the State. It is estimated that about Rs 27,000 cr will be required for the project to cater to the needs of people in villages, municipalities and cities and industries. The project is to become operational in 2018 and the government has prepared a long term plan to be functional till 2050.

27 killed in Iraq airstrikes, clashes

At least 27 people were killed Monday in airstrikes and clashes between the Iraqi security forces and insurgent militants, including those of the Islamic State (IS) Sunni radical group, security sources said.

In Salahudin province, at least 10 IS militants were killed in airstrikes believed to be carried out by US warplanes on IS positions at al-Zuwiyah village outside the city of Baiji, some 200 km north of Iraq’s capital Baghdad, a provincial security source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
