The Telugu Desam Party leaders are likely to skip the swearing-in ceremony of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao as the first Chief Minister of Telangana.

With the Telangana State coming into existence from June 2, the Centre has deputed Dr Rajiv Sharma, IAS of 1982 batch, to officiate as Chief Secretary to Government of Telangana State until further orders.
Dr Rajiv Sharma worked as Director General of CGG from September 2006 to January 2011. He is a career civil servant belonging to the Indian Administrative Service. He did his Bachelor of Engineering in 1976 from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee; Master of Arts in Rural Development from University of East Anglia, U.K and Ph.D. in Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, USA.

The High Court today declined to grant a stay on the Appointed Day of Telangana State since a case against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh was pending before the Supreme Court of India.
The High Court was dealing with a House Motion Petition filed by one Sanjeeva Reddy seeking a stay on the Appointed Day of Telangana State. The court also adjourned the hearing on House Motion Petition to take up after five weeks. Alleging there were lacunae in the AP Reorganization Act of 2014, the petitioner sought immediate hearing on his House Motion Petition.

The overjoyed party activists have erected huge cut-outs of party supremo and Telangana CM-designate K. Chandrasekhara Rao at important junctions in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Hectic atmosphere was seen at the residence of KCR, who is going to be sworn in as first chief minister of Telangana State at Raj Bhavan on June 2.

To mark the formation of Telangana State, Hyderabad Union of Journalists will release white pigeons and distribute sweets to general public at Charminar on June 2 at 10 am.
In a statement, HUJ Cooption member Syed Ghouse Mohiuddin has stated that IJU secretary-general Devulapalli Amar, senior journalists K Sreenivas Reddy, Y. Narendar Reddy, Amarnath, K. Virahat Ali, N. Shekhar, M.A. Majid, Faiz Mohd Asgar and others will address the journalists on the occasion.

The Centre has issued orders directing every person, who immediately before June 2 is holding or discharging duties of any post of office in connection with the affairs of the existing State of Andhra Pradesh in any area which on that day falls within one of the successor States shall continue to hold the same post in that successor State, and shall be deemed, on and from that day, to have been duly appointed to the post or office by the Government of, or other appropriate authority in, that successor State:

The Government of India has directed that the persons belonging to the cadre of the State Secretariat comprising all departments, serving in connection with the affairs of the existing state of Andhra Pradesh, shall serve provisionally on and from June 2 in connection with the affairs of the State of Telangana until further orders.
The Government has ordered that the employees of the Secretariat departments shall serve provisionally on and from June 2 in connection with the affairs of the State of Telangana until further orders from the Government of India.

Telangana TDP leaders on Sunday appealed to people to actively participate in the Telangana Formation Day celebrations on Monday. They said party supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu would participate in the celebrations to be held in the TDP headquarters NTR Bhavan,

About a half day before his swearing in as Chief Minister of Telangana State, TRS Chief K Chnadrashekhar Rao today gone into a huddle with his close associates of the party. He is understood to have shared his views on the swearing in, meeting at Parade Grounds, first cabinet meeting at Telangana Secretariat on Appointed Day June 2. TRS leaders Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Etela Rajender and K Kesava Rao were those attended the meeting held at Narsingi area. KCR is said to have discussed about his plan of action on governance and employee friendly ruling.
