A 6th Standard Student drowned in swimming pool

A sixth standard student drowned in a swimming pool at Jeedimetla on Saturday.

According to police, deceased R. Sandeep Kumar (13) a sixth standard student S/o Chandra Sekhar R/o Bhagat Singh Nagar, Chintal of Jeedimetla went for a swim along with his friend at a private swimming pool and got drowned, immediately retrieved from pool and shifted to nearest hospital where doctors declared brought dead. Dead body shifted to Gandhi Hospital Mortuary for postmortem.

Jeedimetla police registered a case and began investigation. (INN)

Minor boy retrieved from water sump

The Chandanagar police retrieved the body of a Four and Half year old student who drowned in water sump while playing on Saturday evening hours.

The deceased, B Tulasi, an student D/o Ram Bahadur R/o Gul Mohar Park of Chandanagar, on Saturday evening hours deceased while playing near her house accidentally she drowned in water sump due to which she was died on the spot. Police retrieve the body from sump.

Chandanagar police registered a case and body was handed over to her parents after an autopsy was conducted on Gandhi Hospital Mortuary .(INN)

US generals urge SAS troops to stay in Afghanistan to prevent Taliban from taking over

US generals have reportedly urged Britain to keep the SAS troops in Afghanistan in order to deter the Taliban from taking over.

Congress practices divisive secularism: Naqvi

BJP senior leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday accused the Congress party of practising divisive secularism.

Addressing a press conference here, Naqvi said that the Congress party’s secularism was influenced with the ideologies of Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s Muslim League and Qasim Razvi’s MIM and it has been using Muslim community as its vote bank since over six decades. However, he claimed that the BJP believes in true secularism where no community is treated as vote bank. British footballer Nile Ranger has reportedly been caught on CCTV while punching a defenceless woman in the face before smashing down a door outside his penthouse flat. DGP says red corner notice against KVP received

Director General of Police, Prasada Rao said here Sunday that they had received the red corner notice issued against Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP KVP Ramachandra Rao.
He said that they were holding discussions on the notice with CBI, the nodal agency for Interpol in India.
Replying to a question, he said that any special supervision was not needed on KVP as he is an MP.
It may be recalled that the Interpol had issued a red corner notice against Rao in the Titanium mining case. The officials in the CB CID received the notice on Friday.

Ind candidates commit suicide—Threatening calls alleged

An Independent candidate contesting the Tanuku Assembly constituency in West Godavari district, Seelam Satyanarayana (45), has committed suicide, according to information reaching the state headquarters.
Satyanarayana, hailing from pydimarru village, filed his nomination as an Independent and started canvassing. It is said that he telephoned his family members and friends on Saturday night and informed them he was committing suicide and that he was receiving threatening phone calls. His family members identified his body in the fields near Tadepalligudam.
