Katrina Kaif injured on the sets of ‘Bang Bang’

The much-awaited release of 2014, `Bang Bang` seems to be hogging the limelight but for all wrong reasons. Earlier it was lead actor Hrithik`s health that kept the film hanging, now reports have it that actress Katrina Kaif has hurt herself while shooting for a song sequence in the film.

According to reports, the actress is running a packed schedule to complete the film on time and therefore had to extend her working hours. Media reports suggest that while Kat was rehearsing for the big budget song sequence, she got herself a muscle pull.

Rajeev Khandelwal meets with an accident

Actor Rajeev Khandelwal is currently recuperating at a city hospital after meeting with an accident on Sunday. The actor was returning from Water Kingdom, after promoting his film ‘Samrat & Co.’ and that was when his car collided with another vehicle from the opposite direction and then hit a tree.

The car was badly damaged. Rajeev and the driver were lucky to escape with some bruises.

The actor reportedly suffered some serious injuries but is stable.

Amazon steps up US lobbying for Indian FDI; Walmart on halt

After supermarket giant Walmart, it is online retail major Amazon which appears to be lobbying hard with the US lawmakers to seek their support for facilitating its “foreign direct investment in India”.

According to the latest lobbying disclosure reports filed with the US Senate, Amazon lobbied for the second straight quarter during January-March period of 2014 on issues related to FDI rules in India.

Sensex down 27 points in early trade on profit-booking

The benchmark BSE Sensex fell over 27 points in early trade today as funds and retail investors indulged in booking profits at prevailing levels amid forecast of below normal monsoon this year.

The 30-share barometer declined by 27.44 points, or 0.12 per cent, to 22,660.63. The index had lost 188.47 points on Friday.

Stocks of auto, PSUs, banking, FMCG and power sectors were the major losers.
Similarly, the NSE Nifty also fell by 15.35 points, or 0.23 per, to 6,767.40.

Indian-origin tech mogul beats girlfriend, fired from company

Indian-origin internet advertising mogul Gurbaksh Chahal, who escaped jail despite beating his girlfriend 117 times, has been fired from his post of CEO and chairman by his company.

The board of directors at RadiumOne, a Silicon Valley company that focusses on real-time advertising across web, mobile and Facebook, met over the weekend and “voted to terminate the employment of Gurbaksh Chahal as CEO and Chairman of the company,” the company said in a statement.

Dimple Yadav have narrow escape as bird hits chopper

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had a narrow escape on Sunday when his chopper was hit by a bird, officials said.

Yadav was accompanied by his wife Dimple Yadav, the MP from Kannauj, and Public Works Department Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav. He was returning from Saifai after attending the funeral of his uncle Ratan Singh Yadav when the incident took place.

Officials said an eagle hit the front window pane of the private chopper at an altitude of 3,000 feet, 12 km away from the Lucknow airport.

A new bride was admitted in the hospital after her husband gave her a “two hour long orgasm”.

The video, which has been uploaded on YouTube, shows the woman twitching uncontrollably while finding it hard to speak as each sentence was being interrupted by a climax.

She said that for the first 10 minutes she felt that it was awesome, but later it was exhausting for her as her orgasm continued.

Fire engulfs scrap yard, spreads to slum cluster in Ghaziabad

A massive fire swept through a scrap yard and spread to a slum cluster in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, leaving hundreds of dwellers homeless.

There was no loss of life reported from the fire so far.

An eyewitness, Shamshudin, said the deadly fire spread like a wild inferno and the cause of the fire is yet unknown.

“We do not the reason behind this incident. It is a scrap yard,” he said.

Wisps of smoke rose from the slum as the dwellers rummaged through the ashes, trying to salvage their possessions.

Dozens of fire tenders had rushed to the spot to douse the inferno.

Election campaign ends today in Telangana

Helicopter develops snag, Sonia travels by road in AP

The helicopter in which Congress president Sonia Gandhi arrived for a rally here developed a snag this afternoon, forcing her to travel by road later.

Gandhi arrived in the helicopter here in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana in Andhra Pradesh and addressed a public rally.

She was slated to fly later to Andhole in neighbouring Medak district for another rally, but the chopper was found to have some technical problem due to which she travelled by road, Ranga Reddy Superintendent of Police, B Rajkumari said.
