Celebrity couple Victoria and David Beckham’s eldest son has followed in his parents’ fashionable footsteps by taking part in his first modelling shoot.

Brooklyn Beckham, 15, will grace the cover of British men’s magazine, Man About Town, and will appear in its pages wearing labels including Ralph Lauren and Yves Saint Laurent, reports contactmusic.com.

He is not the only Beckham child to branch into fashion. Romeo, 11, made his break into the modelling world in 2012 with a campaign for luxury fashion house Burberry.IANS

Sorry, not much water on moon!

Overturning a long-held assumption, a team of researchers has discovered that the amount of water present on the moon’s surface may have been overestimated by scientists studying lunar rock samples.

Led by Jeremy Boyce of the University of California, Los Angeles’ department of earth, planetary and space sciences, the study revealed that the unusually hydrogen-rich apatite crystals observed in many lunar rock samples may not have formed within a water-rich environment as was originally expected.

India to open warehouse in Nigeria for medicine export

In what is expected to give a major boost to the presence of Indian pharmaceutical companies in Africa, a new warehousing facility will be opened in Nigeria for exporting medicines from India to that West African country.

The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil), in accociation with with Sankil Pharmaceutical, a local pharmacutical business agency in Nigeria, will open the new warehouse, according to statement issued by Pharmexcil.

Sensex hits record high for eighth consecutive day

Sensex hits new high of 22,576.50; Nifty reaches 6,740.05

The benchmark BSE Sensex gained over 130 points to hit a fresh high of 22,576.50 in early trade today on continued capital inflows by funds and retailers, tracking firm global cues.

Hitting a new record-high for the eighth straight session, the 30-share barometer surged by 130.06 points, or 0.58 per cent, to hit 22,576.50, surpassing its previous high of 22,485.77 reached yesterday.

All the sectoral indices, led by consumer durables, capital goods, auto and banking were trading in the positive zone with gains up to 0.98 per cent.

Former CVC to head govt panel to decide IAS, IPS for Telangana
