Moghalpura lacks basic facilities thanks to negligence of public representatives

Moghalpura which was once known as the locality of Nawabs and rich, has now been turned into backward and slum area thanks to the negligence of Municipal board and public representatives. The area lacks basic facilities and due to poor arrangement of health and cleaning facilities, the residents are facing a lot of difficulties. Battered roads, garbage piles here and there, overflowing drains are posing health hazard to the residents.

M Veda Kumar stresses reservations to Muslims proportionate to their population

Separate Telangana movement was the movement against exposition and injustice. The downtrodden communities have hopes from the movement; especially those communities who were subjugated in a planned manner; Muslims top the list. President Xi vows punishment on terrorists

Chinese president Xi Jinping has directed the law enforcement authorities to investigate and solve the case of Kunming terrorist attack with all-out efforts and punish the terrorists in accordance with the law.

Over 10 terrorist suspects attacked people at the square and ticket hall of Kunming Railway Station at 9.20 p.m. Saturday, killing at least 28 civilians and injuring 113 others, Xinhua reported. Police shot dead five attackers and were hunting for others.

Violence in Nanded – Welfare Party protests

In old Gadipura area of Nanded, a few miscreants belonging to Narrow Minded Washermen Community resorted to violence under the pretext of speed breaker. They stopped Muslim youths and attacked them with sharp weapons and hockey sticks.

The members of Welfare Party of India demanded the Govt. of Maharashtra against the miscreants. Mr. Shoaib Sahahbaz (President), Mr. Aslam Khan (Secretary), Mr. Abdul Qadeer (Youth’s Secretary) and others have represented to district collector and SP for taking necessary action.

Bandh observed in MP over Professional Examination Board scam

The state-wide bandh called by Congress to press for the demand for a CBI inquiry into the alleged scam in the Professional Examination Board (PEB) passed off peacefully on Saturday.

There were no reports of untoward incident anywhere due to the bandh although cases were filed against Youth Congress workers at some places including Indore and Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Congress claimed the bandh was successful. “The bandh was successful and completely peaceful,” Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Satyadev Katare told reporters in Bhopal.

Boat capsize on Mahona river, 12 feared drown

Twelve people, including three children, were feared drowned when the boat in which they were crossing the Mahona river capsized near Elona Ghat in Tikuniya police station area late Saturday evening.

According to eyewitnesses, about 12 people were feared drowned as the boat capsized in the main stream of the river.

Confirming the accident, Sub-Divisional Magistrate DP Pal said detail of the suspected victims were not known.

Blasts rock north Nigerian city, many feared dead

Two explosions blasted a crowded marketplace in northeastern Maiduguri city tonight, and many are feared killed and wounded in the birthplace of Nigeria’s Boko Haram terrorist network, witnesses said.

Bloodied people screaming for help were running out of buildings billowing with smoke, they said. Trader Mallam Samalia said some people were blown apart.

The second blast caught people trying to help those injured in the first explosion in the Bintu-Suga neighborhood of the Ngomari suburb, he said.

Muslims are a live nation – Qamaruzzaman Azmi

The miracle of our prophet, the Quran is also alive. Whatever propaganda is made against Islam, it is having no effect. Islam is spreading throughout the world. Tension in Kandhamal

Security forces were deployed at Pradhanpada village in Odisha’s Kandhamal district on Saturday as tension prevailed following damage to an under-construction prayer hall two days ago.

Two platoons of armed police were deployed in the village to prevent further trouble, a senior police officer said.

A group of people attacked the under-construction structure on Thursday, police said.

They said two persons were arrested in connection with the incident. Efforts were on for amicable settlement to the issue.

Anna to campaign for 50 Independents

Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare on Saturday said he would campaign for 50 independent candidates in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Talking to reporters at Deulgaon-Raja near here, Mr. Hazare said he proposed a 17-point agenda for political parties and these 50 candidates, 12 of them from Maharashtra, had accepted it.

West Bengal Chief Minister Manmata Banerjee too accepted the programme, that was why he was supporting her, he added.

Yasin Bhatkal’s perfume shop used to set up IM’s Darbhanga module: NIA

A perfume shop of Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal in Karnataka became the hub in 2001 for establishment of the Darbhanga module which plotted a string of terror attacks in the country, the NIA has said.

According to NIA, IM’s Darbhanga module came into existence after some key IM members, including Yasin and Fasih Mahmood, developed close links in 2001 at the perfume and naturopathy medicines shop in Bhatkal in Udupi district.

Middle man expelled from Wakf Board

Mr. Shaik Mohammed Iqbal, IPS, Special Officer of APS Wakf Board has taken stringent measures to end the interference of middle men in Wakf Board. One such person incurred the wrath of Mr. Iqbal yesterday. When he saw him among the persons waiting to meet him, he immediately got irritated and ordered his gun man to expel him from Wakf Board premises. It was learnt that he was collecting money for getting their cases settled. He issued instructions that no middlemen should be encouraged in Wakf Board.

Mohammed Azharuddin to contest from Bengal: Adhir Choudhury

Former Indian cricketer and Congress MP Mohammed Azharuddin would contest the next Lok Sabha polls from West Bengal on a Congress ticket, state Congress president Adhir Chowdhury said.

“He will contest from West Bengal. The constituencies of Basirhat, Barasat, Uluberia and Krishnanagar are being considered. But we want him to contest from Basirhat. Let’s see what happens,” Chowdhury said.

Azaharuddin is a sitting Lok Sabha MP of Congress from Moradabad constituency of Uttar Pradesh.
