The pop starlet felt that she had stopped being challenged musically before she was 20 but her painful breakup from the ‘Never Say Never’ singer motivated her to re-evaluate and come back with pop hit ‘Come and Get It’.

She told Seventeen magazine that she questioned the way she looked, acted, sang, and wrote.

She said that she started becoming very stale with her music, and realised that she was doing things for other people.

Four-year-old girl `accidentally` shoots and kills cousin

In a tragic incident, a four-year-old girl accidentally shot and killed her four-year-old cousin.

Police have said they are investigating whether to press charges but added that they didn’t see any “malicious intent”, the BBC reported.

The children were playing at their grandfather”s home in Detroit when they found a loaded rifle under a bed.

The police officials revealed that the gun was a small-calibre rifle and the boy was shot once in the chest when the family was away and only a family friend was at the home.

The boy was pronounced dead in hospital. (ANI)

Scientists have discovered the first binary system ever known to consist of a black hole and a ‘spinning’ star.

The discovery was made possible by observations from the Liverpool and Mercator telescopes at the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos in Canary Islands, Spain.

The Kumbalgod police have arrested a 55-year-old man on charges of raping his minor daughter for the past two months and impregnating her.

The accused was living with his wife, two sons and the 16-year-old daughter, a first pre-university student. While the accused is a construction labourer, his wife works in a garment factory here, the police said.

The accused allegedly raped his daughter over a period of two months, after she returned home from college.

He would threaten her with dire consequences if she revealed it to anyone.

City police secure Yasin Bhatkal’s custody

The city police on Friday secured the custody of Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal for 10 days.

The police had filed a petition with the special NIA court in Delhi seeking his custody in connection with Chinnaswamy stadium blasts hours before the IPL cricket match between Royal Challengers and Mumbai Indians here in April 2010.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Hemanth Nimbalkar said Yaseen Bhatkal would be brought to Bangalore for questioning.

The police had filed a petition before the NIA court with a Magistrate court’s production warrant issued against him.

Indian woman Rosdeep Kular has been detained in connection with the death of a young boy, alleged to be her three-year-old son Mikaeel Kular.
