Muslim girl’s marriage-applications called for

According to Dr. Mohammed Mushtaq Ali, a philanthropist has offered to arrange the marriages of two destitute Muslim girls on the occasion of his son’s valima function to be held on 15th September.

Such of the parents whose daughters’ marriages have been fixed and if they want to solemnize these marriages on the above date, may submit their applications along with the photo of the girls and a copy of Aadhar or ration card. The age of the girl should be above 18 years.

Urdu University arranges lecture on Teachers’ Day

Maulana Azad National Urdu University is arranging a lecture today at 3 p.m. to mark Teachers’ Day.

Dr. Sunaina Singh, Vice Chancellor of English and Foreign Languages University will deliver this lecture on “Teacher and Society”. Prof. Mohammed Miyan, Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University will preside over the function.

This lecture is arranged in the auditorium of Distance Education Department of Urdu University.

The programme will commence with the recitation and interpretation the Quranic verses.

Phased agitation of JAC

Joint Action Committee of State Govt. Employees, Teachers and Pensioners has decided to launch agitation programmes in phases.

Their demands include appointment of pay revision commissioner, issuing health cards, regularization of contract employees, cancellation of G.O. 177 to prevent employees from strike and other important issues.

The first phase of agitation consists of dharna programmes in front of collectorates and Revenue Divisional offices to present memoranda to be sent to State Govt. The dharna programme will be organized on 25th September.

Exposure to chemical may cause heart disease: Study

Exposure to perfluoro-octanoic acid (PFOA), a man-made chemical used in the manufacture of lubricants, polishes, paper and textile coatings and food packaging, may be linked with heart disease and peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

PAD is a disease in which plaque builds up in the arteries that carry blood to your head, organs, and limbs.

Plaque is made up of fat, cholesterol, calcium, fibrous tissue and other substances in the blood. When plaque builds up in the arteries, the condition is called atherosclerosis.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez acknowledged Tuesday that he thought about abandoning public life after discovering he had cancer in June 2011, for which he had to be operated three times.

Apple could unveil a fifth edition of its blockbuster iPhone at an event scheduled in San Francisco next week.

Obaidur Rahman reveals in Bangalore

(Siasat News) In the documents submitted to court, Central Crime Branch of Bangalore police claimed that Obaidur Rahman was continuously in contact with Siddique Bin Yousuf alias Rafique alias Abu Hanila. Police also claimed that Obaid had made an unsuccessful attempt to trarget TDP corporators of Sayeedabad and Mangalhat. It is alleged that Siddique had connections with the Pakistani National Saleem Junaid who was arrested in 1998. The activists of Lakshar-e-Tayyeba have named Osman as Abu Hanzila. Osman is required by state police for the past 12 years.

Italy ready to intervene militarily in Syria

Italy would be ready to send military forces to Syria if President Bashar al-Assad is toppled, Italian Defence Minister Giampaolo Di Paola has said.

“Italy has the ability to do it,” Di Paola said in an interview to Rai state television.

“I think that the international community would have to contribute,” he said, stressing that he was not endorsing intervention.

Di Paola’s comments followed a meeting of Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi and other government officials to make plans for what they dubbed the “post Assad” period.

Man arrested for sending obscene messages to his estranged wife

(Siasat News)Court in Mapusa sentenced I Fernandes two years imprisonment for sending lewd and defamatory messages on the cell phone of his estranged wife.

Under the section 67 Fernandes found guilty and court also directed him to pay fine of Rs.10, 000 for sending obscene messages.

Wife when filled a complaint, court directed her husband no to interfere or communicate with her but he continued the same.

Govt. is not interested in the welfare of Minorities

Mr. Khaja Moinuddin, Secretary, Movement for Peace and Justice in a press statement issued yesterday lamented that the Central Govt. is deliberately keeping quiet and it is not implementing the recommendations of Justice Ranganatha Mishra Commission’s Report. Govt. sanctions Rs. 50 lakh for Makkah Masjid & Shahi Masjid, Public Garden

Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Govt. of A.P. has released Rs.50 lakh for Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid, Public Garden for purchasing Water Cooler, Water Filter, Generator etc. It issued G.O. Rt. 240 yesterday.

It may be noted that Govt. had announced to provide these basic facilities in the month of Ramazan but the budget has been released after Ramazan was over.

Afghanistan: 20 killed as suicide bomber targets funeral

At least 20 people were killed and more than 50 others injured Tuesday afternoon when a suicide bomber hit a funeral procession in eastern Afghanistan’ s Nangarhar province, an official said.

“The suicide blast occurred at around 3 pm local time Tuesday in Dur Baba district,” a spokesman for provincial government, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, told Xinhua.

He said the district administration chief’s son was also killed in the attack and the district chief and his brother were among the injured.

The injured were shifted by police to hospitals in the provincial capital.

Naidu held while demanding reimbursement of fee for students

Telugu Desam Party president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was taken into custody by the Cyberabad police ON Tuesday afternoon as he led a road blockade at LB Nagar here demanding reimbursement of tuition fee in full for students of the backward classes in professional courses.

The Telugu Nadu Students Federation, the student wing of TDP, organised the protest against the dilution of the fee reimbursement scheme.
