The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today registered a case against the Eluru kendriya Vidyalaya Principal for demanding a bribe amount of Rs 5,000 from the complainant for releasing his salary for the month of August, 2012 and for taking him back as Teacher on contract basis for last One year. According to CBI release here tonight, a trap was laid the Principal was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe amount of Rs 5,000 from the complainant.

VHP targets Narendra Modi government over handling of 2002 riot cases

Just before the Gujarat elections, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), the sister organisation of the ruling BJP which is part of the Sangh Parivar, has raised its voice against Chief Minister Narendra Modi government’s handling of the 2002 post-Godhra riot cases.

The Gujarat government recently approached the high court to enhance the punishment of 27 Ode case riot convicts from life imprisonment to death penalty.

TJAC Asks Govt Not To See “Telangana March” As Law & Order Issue

Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram has said that the State government should not see the proposed ‘Telangana March’ on September 30 as a law and order issue.

Addressing the media at Telangana Film Chamber office here on Thursday after the JAC meeting, Prof. Kodandaram said the JAC would urge Governor ESL Narasimhan to allow the JAC’s Telangana March. He also said that the JAC would take up programs to give wide publicity across all the Telangana districts to the proposed Telangana March.

Azad To Attend CCC meeting on Sept. 10

Russia prepared for second global crisis: Putin

Russia is better prepared for a second global financial crisis, President Vladimir Putin has said.

“I believe we are even better prepared because we’ve already experienced the first wave of the crisis, and we have an understanding of what’s to be done about it and how we should do it,” Putin said in an interview with RT TV.

“And we have the instruments for crisis management.”

Putin added that the parliament had agreed to assign 200 billion rubles to the government fund, which could help cover the budget deficit.

Italian town allows owners to be buried with pets

A town in northern Italy has set aside land for dead people to be buried along with their deceased beloved furry friends.

Italian cemeteries generally do not allow animals to be buried with their dead owners.

This means the cemetery in Fauglia near Pisa will probably be the first to let pets lie at rest for eternity with their dead owners.

Fauglia mayor Carlo Carli told the La Nazione newspaper that the local government is discussing the initiative and that a citizen has donated around three hectares to open the so-called mixed graveyard.

Murder Attempt On Principal By Attender

An attempt was made to murder principal of Chaitanya Aided College at Hayatnagar here on Thursday.

According to the police, the College attender attacked the principal with a knife due to financial differences between them.

The culprits had taken the principal away saying that he has to admit some students into the college and attacked him with a knife at Rajannagudem. The local people, who saw the principal with severe injuries, shifted him to a nearby hospital.

The Hayatnagar police have registered a case and took the attender into custody. (NSS)

APGENCO Asked To Expedite All Ongoing Thermal Projects To Meet Demand

Since the State was experiencing severe power shortage in the recent times due to drastic short supply of Natural Gas, which forced utilities to impose power restrictions, the State government has directed the APGenco to expedite all the ongoing thermal power projects to meet the abnormal increase in demand. T Lawyers’ Bid To Storm Jaipal Reddy’s House

Telangana Lawyers’ JAC has tried to lay a siege to Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy’s residence here on Thursday demanding him to make his stand clear on Telangana issue.

The lawyers raised slogans against Jaipal Reddy such as “Union Minister is Betrayer of Telangana”. The police intervened and prevented the lawyers from barging into the Union Minister’s house resulting in jostling between the police and lawyers.
