AI staff integration process to start in 45 days: Ajit Singh

Five years after merger of two state-run airlines, government today announced that implementation of uniform structures for pay, allowances and career progression for Air India employees would start in 45 days, saying it was necessary if the airline is to survive.

“This (employees’ integration) is necessary if merger (in Air India) has to succeed, if Air India has to survive. The government is giving Rs 30,000 crore …. One thing is clear. Government will not give public money any more to Air India,” Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh told reporters here.

Maulana Vali Rahmani to address on benefits of higher education

I have no faith in PM: Anna Hazare

Expressing disappointment over the Centre not doing enough to eradicate corruption, anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare has said he has lost his faith in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

“I had a strong belief in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, but now I do not have faith in him,” Hazare said during a visit here.

“We have to select persons having good character and send them to Parliament, then only the expected change will take place,” he added.

Inter 1st yr syllabus and books revised

All the principals, lecturers and students are hereby informed that syllabus for Mathematics IA & IB, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology has been revised.

New books (English version) for the above mentioned subjects will be available in the market from 1st June. However there will be no change in remaining subjects.

The revised syllabus and Model Question papers of these subjects are also available on Board website www.bieap.gov.in.

CBI Judge Pattabhi Rama Rao suspended

Chief Justice of AP High Court Justice Madan B. Lokur suspended the 1st Additional Special Judge for CBI cases Mr. Pattabhi Rama Rao in connection with alleged corruption charges against him in Obulapuram mining case. He had granted conditional bail to Gali Janardhan Reddy former minister of Karnataka.

CBI claimed to have unveiled the Syndicate’s contacts with mining mafia and the alleged involvement of Gali Janardhan Reddy.

CBI seized crores of rupees from two persons who were said to have been working as intermediary agents.

AK Khan’s tour of Australia

Mr. Abdul Khayyum Khan, Vice Chairman and Manging Director of APSRTC proceeded to Australia last night on an official tour to study the Public Transport System and also to participate in an international conference on transport systems.

This conference is being organized to find out ways and means to modernize public transport system.

He will represent Govt. of India in this conference. After this conference, he will visit other places in Australia to study their public transport system. He will be back to Hyderabad on 9th June 2012.

Nothing will be brushed under the carpet: Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh

In his first public comments after taking over as Army Chief, Gen Bikram Singh today made it clear that no controversy in the force will be “brushed under the carpet”.

Sending a firm message to his 1.3 million force, Gen Singh said he will strive to maintain its “secular and apolitical” outlook.

“Let us continue to be a secular and apolitical force and do our job the way it should be done,” 59-year-old Singh told reporters after inspecting a guard of honour, a day after taking charge of the force from Gen V K Singh whose tenure was mired in controversies.

Degree courses admissions in women’s college

According to Mr. Mohammed Nazeer Ahmed, Head of the Department of Urdu of Women’s College, Kothi, Sultan Bazar, application forms for admissions into various degree courses are being issued. The last date of submission of completed application forms is 15th June 2012. For the academic year 2012-13 students joining B.A., B.Sc and B.Com courses can opt for Urdu as second language.

Mass Muslim Marriages on 1st July 2012

According to a pres note issued by Dr. Mohammed Mushtaq Ali, President of Anuman-e-Islah-e-Muashira (Society for Reformation) the mass marriages of the Muslim destitute and poor girls would be performed on 1st July 2021. The association is inviting applications for registration of mass marriages.

Measures to ward off possible disasters in rainy season

State Government has instructed all the concerned departments to brace themselves for relief and safety measures at short notice in view of ensuing monsoon season. They have been directed to set up control rooms and activate mechanism.

In a meeting of High Power Committee headed by Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi, various measures to be taken up during natural disasters like cyclone, floods and heavy rains were reviewed.

Office of the Tahsildar Charminar Mandal has informed the public that smart card is being issued for old age pension, pension for handicapped persons etc. Such of the eligible persons who have not yet registered their names for the issue of smart cards may do so now from 1st June to 7th June at Charminar.

Man brutally murdered in Malkajgiri

(Siasat News): Some unidentified persons killed a man in Malkajgiri. As per the details, 38-year-old Motiram Naik, native of Nalgonda, was residing near Safilguda bus stop. He was a borewell labourer.

Yesterday night, some people were boozing near his house and they asked for water from Naik that he refused.

At that time, the boozers went away from there but after sometime they came back there and beat Naik severely with pipes and sticks, killing him on the spot.

Naveen Patnaik to meet BJD leaders today

A day after his arrival from Britain, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will on Friday meet the leaders of his party amid reports of rebellion in the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

Speaking to reporters shortly after his arrival Patnaik said, “Right decision will be taken at right time.”
