A mother shot nude pictures of her 13-year-old daughter so that the teenager could forward them to her 30-year-old boyfriend in Oregon.

The Utah-based mother has been charged for taking nude pictures of a minor girl and sexual exploitation, according to Daily Mail.

The woman was helping her daughter click those pictures as the youngster was having trouble doing it on her own. Police officials told the daily that the duo had clicked three revealing images and sent them to the boyfriend.

Saudi King has 14 traffic fines

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has piled up 14 traffic fines of more than Dh7,700 in his Gulf kingdom and most of them involved speeding.

A Saudi man trying to settle his traffic fines at a payment machine at the kingdom’s traffic police was shocked to see the 14 fines were in the name of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz when he pressed the wrong number.

Instead of resetting the machine to log on his traffic fines account, Abdullah Duweihan decided to pay all the fines for the Monarch.

House burglar arrested: seized Rs 10 lakh worth articles

The city police have arrested a house burglar and recovered stolen articiles including 9 tolas Gold and 5.5 Kgs of Silver Ornaments worth Rs ten lakhs from him. Police in a release here said the culprit Jagdish Reddy was arrested yesterday while he was moving under suspicious manner along with gold ornaments in Begumpet area in the city. Muslim woman thrashes girl for not reading Quran

A Muslim woman in London is facing jail on charges of beating a 10-yr-old girl because she did not read enough verses of the Quran.

During her trial in a Snaresbrook Crown Court, it emerged that Asia Parveen, 31, who was five months pregnant at the time of the incident, beat a 10-year-old girl with a steel ladle and also forced the girl to stand with her arms outstretched for four hours, and now faces a possible jail sentence.

British report on Russian human rights termed partial

Konstantin Dolgov, the Russian foreign ministry’s ombudsman for human rights, said Moscow believes that the “Human Rights and Democracy Report in 2011” was non-objective and the serious democratic reforms successfully implemented in Russia were not considered, RIA Novosti reported.

16 Taliban surrender in Pakistan

A total of 16 Taliban militants, including four commanders, have surrendered in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region.

The militants, who were part of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, had been involved in terror activities in Kurram Agency, Xinhua reported.

Four commanders — Abdullah, Muhammad Rasham, Walid and Rafiqullah — were among those who surrendered Saturday, said Shahab Ali Shah, a local administrator in Kurram.

The militants, whose faces were covered, told the media in Parachinar town that they belonged to local tribes.

Russia plans aerospace university

Russia is planning to set up an aerospace university to produce a new generation of professionals for the aviation and space industries, a minister said.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said: “We have plans connected with the creation of a modern aerospace university, where we will produce a broad range of specialists, for aviation, and also the rocket and space industries.”

Rogozin Saturday visited the Khrunichev rocket factory, north of Moscow, and invited specialists from the centre to discuss the plan.

EC okays appointment of 4 info. commissioners

The Election Commission has given the go-ahead for the appointment of four persons, whose names were approved by Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan as Information Commissioners in the State Information Commission.

They are: C. Madhukar Raju (IFS retired), S. Prabhakar Reddy (IPS retired), M. Ratan, IPS, and P Vijayababu, journalist. The Commission also permitted the government to issue posting orders to 7,000 persons, who had undergone training and counseling after being selected as VROs and VRAs.
