When the caravan reached there the villagers looked them in amazement and thought that they have also come here in search of treasure as there is a relic near mosque where it is believed that treasures are buried beneath it.

Cop suspended for misguiding Sonia

Malleswaram woman traffic police inspector Shashikala was suspended for allegedly leading the convoy of AICC president Sonia Gandhi through an undesignated route on Saturday morning.

Khan Mohammad Omer Khan passes away

Khan Mohammad Omer Khan, brother of Khan Lateef Mohammad Khan editor in chief Munsif daily and son of late Gul Mohammad Khan (Forest Officer retd.) expired yesterday morning after prolong illness. He was 82. He is survived by a son.

Funeral prayer was performed at Masjid Mustafa Khan, Falaknuma Quadri Chaman. Burial took place at his ancestral graveyard Takya Moghal Faqeer.

Various political and religious leaders and media personalities arrived at the deceased’s house to pay condolences to Mr. Khan Lateef Khan and deceased’s son Mohammad Khaja Moinuddin Khan.

Visitor rapes teen girl after scamming her on Facebook

An Arab man is on trial in Dubai on charges of raping a 14-year-old Gulf school girl after blackmailing her with private photographs she had sent him on Facebook, thinking he is a girl.

The prosecutor accused the 26-year-old man of using the girl’s young age to carry out his “satanic act and satisfy his sick whim,” demanding maximum punishment of the defendant.

The criminal court, opening hearings on Sunday, was told the unnamed defendant had misled the girl into believing he was a girl, who wanted to be a friend of the victim on Facebook.

Osama wives not tied to terror: KSA

Saudi Arabia says there is no evidence that Osama bin Laden’s wives and family members deported to the kingdom are involved in terrorism.

Sunday’s statement indicated Saudi Arabia would agree to host the entire 14-member group, including three wives and children of the late al-Qaida leader. They were deported on Friday from Pakistan.

The state-run Saudi Press Agency cites an official source saying there is no evidence of the family’s involvement in any “criminal or illegal acts.”

One of the widows is Yemeni and the other two are Saudi citizens.

A human trafficking gang in Dubai led by a woman has been busted following a tip-off from an Emirati employer whose domestic help was caught in the trap.

The Anti-Organised Crime Department of the General Department of Dubai Criminal Investigation arrested an Asian woman – an absconding housemaid herself – and her three accomplices. All four have been charged with human trafficking.
