We have nothing to do with ‘threats’ to Rushdie: Muslim Forum
Jaipur, February 02: Rajasthan Muslim Forum, an umbrella body of Muslim organizations in the state, has condemned attempts to give impression that Muslim organizations of Rajasthan had issued death threats to controversial author Salman Rushdi and that’s why he cancelled his visit to Jaipur Literature Festival in January.
Ever since the Jaipur Literature Festival ended with a fiasco on January 24, 2012, an impression is being created that the Muslim organizations of Rajasthan had issued threats to the life of Rushdie or threatened to disrupt the literary event by resorting to violence.
