21 Jagan loyalists to vote against Congress government

Hyderabad, December 03: As many as 21 legislators loyal to YSR Congress party chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy will vote against the Congress government during the no-confidence motion in the assembly.

The legislators including 19 of the ruling Congress party attended a meeting with Jaganmohan Reddy at his residence here to chalk out the party’s strategy on the no-confidence motion moved by main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

After the meeting, legislator P. Subhash Chandra Bose told reporters that they would abide by Jagan’s decision on the issue.

Will reveal Indian black money holders: Assange

UN Adultery Penalty rejected

Male, December 03: The government of Maldives has rejected UN calls for debating the practice of flogging women guilty of committing adultery in the island nation.

“What’s there to discuss about flogging?” Foreign Minister Ahmed Naseem told Haveeru newspaper.

“There is nothing to debate about in a matter clearly stated in the religion of Islam. No one can argue with God.”

UN human rights chief Navi Pillay called Friday on the Maldives government to end the practice of flogging women committed of having extra-marital sex.

In a survey conducted by the weekly, Hrithik beat some ‘heavyweights’ and emerged as the winner of the 50-strong list.

According to a daily, the ‘Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara’ star won by the biggest ever margin in the history of the men`s list. Hrithik also toppled last year’s winner, Ranbir Kapoor who incidentally came sixth in this year’s list.

Neglected time-keepers ‎

Qatar plane makes emergency landing‎

Hyderabad, December 03: A Qatar Airways flight had to make an emergency landing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, near here, in the early hours of Friday.

The flight was on its way to Bangalore from Doha. With inclement weather at the Bangalore airport, the flight could not land there. After alerting the Air Traffic Control (ATC) at Bangalore, the crew of the flight diverted it to Hyderabad and made an emergency landing at the RGIA around 5 am, sources said.

Team to broker Indian prisoners release

Hyderabad, December 03: To secure the release of Indians jailed in the United Arab Emirates, a team of three members drawn from various Indian migrant councils will negotiate with the Indian embassy in the UAE and jail officials there.

Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, Voice of Indian Emigrants president Raghu Ram Vallamsetty said, “On the occasion of UAE National Day (December 2), we are going to visit the Dubai and Sharjah jails and negotiate with the officials there the release of our prisoners in conformity with Arab laws.”

Veena’s nude shoot sparks outrage in Pak!

Islamabad, December 03: Pakistani actor Veena Malik, best known for her participation in the Indian reality show Bigg Boss, was at the centre of a controversy today after she was featured nude on the cover of FHM India magazine, sporting a tattoo with the word ‘ISI’ on her arm.

Though Veena, 33, denied posing nude for the magazine and said it was a “morphed picture”, FHM India editor Kabeer Sharma said the magazine had a video of the photo shoot and an email from her as proof.

Woman hanged herself to death

Hyderabad, December 3: A 22 year old woman hanged herself to death in Falaknuma area. According to police sources the woman suffered with mental trauma.

One year ago Yuvati alias Somyalata married to Arvind. The girl who lived in joint family earlier faced difficulty in living with her husband.

According to police sources she had to remain alone in the house after her husband went to work. She was suffering from aloofness which consequently led to mental trauma. She resorted to the extreme step and committed suicide.

Dead body recovered, suspicion on wife

Hyderabad, December 3 (Siasat News): Police has recovered the dead body of a man who went missing some days back from Meerpet.

The unidentified assailants killed him brutally and chopped off his penis. His dead body was thrown into the bushed close to his house.

On the evidence collected from the spot of the crime, the police suspect that the wife of the deceased J Krishnayya, 28, could be behind his murder and the illicit relations are also not ruled out.

CBI charge sheets Reddy in illegal mining case

Hyderabad, December 03: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Saturday formally filed charges in illegal mining case involving Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) owned by former Karnataka minister G. Janardhana Reddy.

The CBI filed its charge sheet in the special court dealing with CBI cases at Nampally criminal court complex here.

The charge sheet names Janardhana Reddy, his brother-in-law and OMC managing director B.V. Srinivasa Reddy and former director of mines V.D. Rajagopal as the accused. They are all lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail here.

Israeli Ambassador to make maiden visit to twin cites

Hyderabad, December 03: Alon Ushpiz, Ambassador of Israel to India, will be visiting Hyderabad along with a core team next week. This will be his maiden visit to the city after he has taken over as the new Ambassador to India.

Alon Ushpiz was earlier in Washington DC, USA and had also served in Japan. His visit gains significance in the wake of Israel expecting to have a Free Trade Agreement with India next year which could catapult bilateral trade between two countries to USD 15 billion from USD 5 billion in the next few years.
