Impeachment of Allahabad High Court judges in Parliament pleaded

Hyderabad, December 06: (Siasat News) A meeting of MBT was held at Moghalpura. The spokesman of MBT Farhathullah Khan Khalid presented a resolution demanding the impeachment of Allahabad High Court judged for pronouncing the judgment of Babri Masjid on the basis of religious beliefs instead of historical evidences. He quoted the precedent of impeachment case of Justice Sumitra Sen, of Kolkata High Court in Parliament and said that on the same lines there should be an impeachment of Justice. B.V.

Educational institutions bandh on T-issue on 8th December

BUMS counseling for admission into Abdul Haq Unani College

Govt. failed to resolve people’s issues: CPI

Babri Masjid demolition 19th anniversay today

New Delhi, December 06: Ayodhya and Faizabad on Tuesday will celebrate the 19th anniversary of Babri mosque demolition, the security has been tightened for the twin towns.

This year’s anniversary has coincided with Muharram’s 10th day. A section of muslims consider it as a day of mourning.

“To maintain peace and communal harmony, we are in touch with people of both the communities,” said RK Chaturvedi, SSP.

Madhusudan Raizada, Divisional Commissioner and DIG Anand Swarup Senior reviewed the security prescribed for the towns.

Telangana Vidyarthi Aikya Vedika students protest

Hyderabad, December 06: Students of Osmania and JNT Universities belonging to Telangana Vidyarthi Aikya Vedika started shouting Jai Telangana slogans near A.P. Assembly yesterday. Police took them into its custody and shifted them to Nampally police station.

Among the students who were arrested include Nageshwara Rao, Rajini Shree, Vamsee, D. Srinivasa, Harsh Vardhan, Zaheer, Naresh, Sangam, M. K. Nageshwara Rao & Nagesh.

City Police Commissioner has promulgated section 144 in the city and hence these students were arrested because they violated the prohibitory orders of section 144.

Muslim youths face difficulty in registering for Rajiv Yuva Karnalu scheme

Hyderabad, December 06: Govt. has announced that Dr. Manmohan Singh will hand over appointment letters to the unemployed youths in this month. Applications are being received for Rajiv Yuva Karnalu Scheme. Muslim youths are facing a lot of inconvenience in registering their applications online because there is no column for entering ward number of their houses. Govt. has distributed 12 lakh acres of lands to landless but only 950 acres of land has been allotted to Muslims. In Nellore alone 650 acres have been distributed because Muslims of Nellore had gheraoed the revenue officials.

Historic Bibi Ka Alam procession today

Hyderabad, December 06: Today being 10th Moharram, the historic ‘Bibi Ka Alam’ procession will start today in the old city from Kaman Shaik Faiz and will reach Musi river in the evening. The priest of Alawa Bibi Mr. Aliuddin Arif and the Alam bearer Quamar Hasan Rizvi will accompany the procession. Various political and religious leaders will offer “Dhatti” to the Alam at different places.

Police has made elaborate arrangements on either sides of the road and posted police pickets in sufficient numbers.

Is Mumbai turning into kidnap capital?

Mumbai, December 06: If you thought that women and children are safe in Mumbai, then think again. An RTI query has revealed that there is a steep rise in kidnapping of minors between 2008 and 2010.

While 176 cases of kidnapping were registered in 2008, there were 149 cases in 2009. About 194 cases of kidnapping were registered in 2010.

Activist Chetan Kothari had filed an RTI plea seeking details from the police department in November.

Russia halts Japan radioactive container

Tokyo, December 06: Russian police in the Pacific port city of Vladivostok have confiscated a shipping container from Japan holding dozens of radioactive car tires.

According to a port official a total 29 tires in the shipment were emitting high levels of gamma and beta rays, the Interfax news agency reported on Thursday.

“There’s a good chance the radioactive tires are a result of the Fukushima accident,” said a safety inspector, Ivan Skogorev.

Skogorev said that the tires’ owner might have them decontaminated, returned to Japan or dumped in a dangerous waste site in Russia.

‘Britain seeks more tension with Iran’

London, December 06: A leading British anti-war group says western governments including Britain are “doing everything possible” to heighten tension with Iran, in line with a “brinkmanship” policy.

The Stop the War Coalition said in a newsletter that the British government’s move to close the Iranian embassy in London blocks “one of the last channels for negotiations” with Iran.

London, December 06: The Israeli regime has launched a systematic attempt to redraw the map of the occupied Palestinian territories by advertising tourism maps in the UK newspapers.

An Israeli tourism map appearing in the London-based newspaper The Guardian last weekend rendered occupied Palestinian and Syrian territories as part of “Israel”.

The three-page advertising spread from the Israeli tourism ministry in the Guardian Weekend is part of what increasingly looks like a major new advertising campaign in the UK.

Buried alive, she digs out…

London, December 06: A man tasered his girlfriend and then packed her into a cardboard box and buried her in a shallow grave because he was ‘bored’ with her, reports Daily Mail.

The 27-year-old mother was terrified and with great difficulty managed to dig her way out from the makeshift grave.

The court learnt that the 25-year-old boyfriend bound and gagged with parcel tape and put in a box with two small air holes. All this because he thought she was not pretty enough, the daily learnt.

After burying his girlfriend alive, the man used her bank cards to withdraw £500.

Woman raped for revenge

New Delhi, December 06: A 40-year-old woman in Delhi was gang-raped recently by two persons after they were embroiled in an argument with her husband the previous day.

The incident has been reported from Adarsh Nagar area of north-west Delhi.

A police source told Mid-day.com that the accused, Eroj alias Chitti, is a robber and has been involved in more than 14 cases. He was arrested after the victim approached the police. An FIR of gang rape also has been lodged in this respect.

Panaji, December 06: Unemployment is making youngsters in Goa desperate and forcing them to “clean toilets in countries abroad”, state assembly Speaker Pratapsing Rane said Monday.

Israel destroys two Palestinian homes

Gaza, December 06: Israel has destroyed two more Palestinian homes in the occupied East al-Quds (Jerusalem), defying international calls for putting an end to demolitions.

Israeli interior ministry officials accompanied by security forces demolished two buildings in Silwan and Beit Hanina on Monday.

The buildings were “illegal, with court-issued demolition orders,” a ministry spokeswoman told AFP.

Palestinians say that their efforts to construct a free and independent Palestinian state will prove fruitless as long as Israel continues to demolish Palestinian homes.

Sex workers rescued from Goa nightclub

Panaji, December 06: Fourteen commercial sex workers were rescued by Goa Police from a famous nightclub at the popular beach village of Calangute following a raid Monday, an official said.

A police spokesperson said nine promoters and staffers of Club Virgin, some 10 km from here, were booked for trafficking the women and peddling them to customers visiting the club.

“We have arrested nine promoters and staffers of the club. The women were being pimped in the club premises and were forcibly kept there,” the spokesperson said.

Woman doctor kills herself over failed affair

Ghaziabad, December 06: A 26-year-old woman doctor jumped in front of a train here Monday over a failed relationship, police said.

Ankita Shukla, posted at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) in Shahdara, Delhi, lived in Karol Bagh area of the capital.

Her body, severed in two pieces, was found on the railway track between Mohan Nagar and Sahibabad railway station.

Police said she was in a relationship with a man named Ratan, which was revealed from her mobile phone recovered near the track.

1.8-tonne bomb defused in Germany after 65 years

London, December 06: Germany has successfully defused a 1.8-tonne World War II bomb in the Rhine river after about 45,000 residents of Koblenz were evacuated from homes, hospitals and even a prison, a media report said Monday.

The British aerial bomb is said to be one of the biggest found in the country.

It caused huge disruption across Koblenz as patients were rolled out of hospitals in wheelchairs and carried out on stretchers, the Daily Mail reported Monday.
