Hyderabad, November 15: It seems that the communal forces are geared up to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the city. A spate of attacks on Muslim youth and women in the city is the example of this. Muslims of Nawabpet are socially boycotted. Warnings are given blatantly to obstruct the construction of mosque there. Muslims are publicly threatened by the miscreants to stop the construction of mosque on waqf land at Palmamadi village of Nawabpet mandal at Viqarabad, Rangareddy district.

Ex-AL chief says Iran not Egypt’s enemy

Cairo, November 15: An Egyptian presidential hopeful says Iran is not an enemy state in the Middle East and Cairo will try to establish closer relations with Tehran in the future.

“We should not label Iran as an enemy state in the region,” Amr Moussa told the German-language Swiss daily Tages-Anzeiger in an interview published on Monday.

He added that Egypt is determined to establish closer ties with Iran and has sought to promote reconciliation between the Palestinians as a mediator.

Youth’s dead body found in Gandhi Nagar

Hyderabad, November 15 (Siasat News): Meerpet police recovered the dead body of a youth from Gandhi Nagar that was lying in a closed room.

Police sources said that the dead body of 32-year-old Y Venkateshwarulu was decomposed and creating foul smell which led the local people to inform the police.

Police is of the opinion that the youth had died four days back. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.

Withdraw support to UPA: Errabelli to T Cong MPs

Hyderabad, November 15: The Telugu Desam Telangana Forum on Monday asked the Congress MPs from the region to withdraw support from the Congress-led UPA Government.

Talking to reporters, Forum convenor Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s statement was a clear indication that the UPA Government was not in favour of granting statehood for Telangana region. Iranian students build rescue drone

Tehran, November 15: An Iranian academic says a group of university students have built an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) which specializes in rescue and relief operations.

Head of the Khomeini-Shahr branch of the Islamic Azad University, Khalifeh Soltani, announced on Monday that the drone has been built in a period of seven months and has cost about USD 15,000.

“The aircraft is two meters long and has a wingspan of 2.8 meters with a flying range of 50 kilometers,” IRIB news service quoted him as saying.

S Korean Muslim community growing

Over the past ten years, South Korea has witnessed a rise in the number of people embracing Islam.

“After 9/11, there was an increase in the number of Koreans who wanted to know about the Islamic culture. For instance, last October there were about 1,200 Koreans who visited Seoul’s Central Mosque,” says Korea Muslim Federation’s Abdul Rahman, who converted to Islam in 1981.

Over the past decade, a Muslim community has emerged in the Itaewon district next to the Seoul Central Mosque.

CM for stern action against communal forces

Qur’an can be used to cure non-Muslims: Scholars

Madina, November 15: Two scholars specializing in Dawah and Qur’an studies have agreed that it is permissible to use the Qur’an to cure non-Muslims. However, they differed about whether to recite it in a non-Arabic language.
Dr. Ali Bin Ghazi Al-Twaijri, professor of Qur’an studies at the Islamic University here, said that it was allowed. “It’s permissible for non-Muslims to use the Qur’an as a cure. The reciter of the Qur’an may receive an amount of money for reciting it.”
