Women rape men for rituals

Johannesburg, November 29: Three women in Zimbabwe accused of raping at least four men to get their sperm for traditional rituals.

The women, who have been charged with 17 counts of aggravated indecent assault, go on trial today in a case that has shocked the country.

Police officials in Zimbabwe believe the alleged perpetrators are part of a nationwide syndicate that may be using the sperm for a traditional ritual claiming to make people lucky and wealthy.

Is it hard to grow a beard? Yes, says SRK

Mumbai, November 29: Mostly seen in a clean-shaven look, Shah Rukh Khan is finding it hard to grow a beard for a music video for his forthcoming film “Don 2: The Chase Continues”.

“Doing a music video for Don2… beard struggling to grow back. I really enjoy being Don… all that I am not I get to do, ” Shah Rukh posted on twitter page.

The 46-year-old is sporting several looks in the film and in one of them he will be seen sporting a stubble and long hair.

Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the film will release Dec 23 and has Priyanka Chopra in the lead role.

Hyderabad, November 29: It is unfortunate that the country has a prime minister who does not understand the seriousness of the Telangana agitation, Telangana Rashtra Samiti president and Mahaboobnagar MP K Chandrasekhara Rao has remarked.

Speaking at a demonstration organised by the Progressive organisation of Women (POW) at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Monday, the TRS chief said that the prime minister did not say anything on Telangana because he did not have voice. “Unless Amma speaks, he would not speak,” Rao said.

Two decamp with jewellery worth over Rs 2.5 lakh

Hyderabad, November 29: Unidentified miscreants decamped with jewellery worth over Rs 2.5 lakh from a house in on Monday after threatening two women inmates of the house.

The incident occurred around 3.30 pm when two unidentified men entered their house without the knowledge of the house owner, T Prabhavathi (50) while her daughterinlaw Divya was at the grocery store. When Prabhavathi found two men in the bedroom, she began crying after which Divyas rushed home. The duo, on hearing the house owners cries, broke open the almirah and stole the jewellery.

Fire mishap in fivestar hotel

Hyderabad, November 29: Electrical short circuit is suspected to have led to the fire mishap that broke out in an under construction fivestar hotel at Banjara Hills late on Sunday night.

Fire officials suspect that sparks from the sixth floor where workers were attending to interior decoration works, might have caused the fire which later spread to the seventh floor.

Rawalpindi has no diesel to run its trains

Islamabad, November 29: Trains may not run from Pakistan’s Rawalpindi city from Tuesday as their engines don’t have diesel.

The daily Dawn said that trains from Rawalpindi are likely to stop running from Tuesday with divisional railway running out of diesel.

An official said that they have stopped issuing tickets for trains scheduled to depart Tuesday.

“The diesel stock is finished…,” the official was quoted as saying.

He added the authorities concerned had been informed about the fuel situation.

Hyderabad, November 29: Andhra Pradesh assembly Speaker N. Manohar Monday accepted resignations of four lawmakers from the Telangana region but rejected resignations of 61 other legislators, including those belonging to the ruling Congress but loyal to the YSR Congress party.

The speaker accepted resignations of three legislators of the Congress and one of the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), all of them from the Telangana region, who quit their respective parties to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

MP loses seat for having two wives

Patna, November 29: A senior parliamentarian from Bihar has lost his membership in the Lok Sabha for keeping the law in the dark about having two wives.

The Patna High Court annulled the election of the Janata Dal-United’s (JD-U) Mangani Lal Mandal after it was established he had suppressed the facts about his first wife in affidavits submitted to the Election Commission of India while filing his nomination papers for the elections.

Mandal was elected a Member of Parliament from Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar on a JD-U ticket in the last Lok Sabha polls in April 2009.

Labour ban making life tough

Dubai, November 29: Workers have complained that the Ministry of Labour is still asking for approval from sponsors if workers wish to change jobs after two years.

Affected workers pointed to the ministry’s earlier reforms to the labour law which did away with the need for a sponsor’s approval for employees who have been with their sponsors for two continuous years. The workers complained that they were being slapped with one-year ban for failing to secure such approval.

Woman alleges affair with US candidate

Washington, November 29: A woman from the US state of Georgia has claimed that she and Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain had a 13-year-long extramarital affair.

The 46-year-old female, named Ginger White, alleged on Monday that their affair continued almost until the former businessman announced his candidacy several months ago, the Associated Press reported.

“Here we go again. I didn’t do anything wrong,” Cain, however, said in response, claiming that he had been trying to help White financially.

Opposition criticizes Land allotment policy

Stall Assembly: Venkat Reddy

22nd contingent of Haj pilgrims reached city

Hyderabad, November 29: A contingent of Haj Pilgrims consisting 293 persons reached Hyderabad yesterday. Mr. Syed Khaleeluddin, Chairman Haj Committee Mahmood Hussain, Engineer, Raza Hussain Azad, OSD Mohammed Siddique, Irfan Shareef and others were present at the airport. Watchman murdered in Medchal

Hyderabad, November 29 (Siasat News): A 66-year-old watchman was murdered in the suburban area of the city where some unidentified persons killed him with heavy boulders.

His dead body was recovered from the forest area of the railway colony. According to the inspector Medchal Mr. Yadgiri, the deceased R Vigyam was working as a watchman and was reportedly a hunter of the rabbits.

It is suspected that he might have killed by some persons during the hunt in the forest. Police is yet to ascertain the cause of the murder.

UK fears ‘dirty bomb’ Olympic attacks

London, November 29: Britain’s Home Office has made an appeal for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to draw up contingency plans to deal with a deadly radioactive or “dirty bomb” attack during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

As the British government fears a possible radioactive attack at one of the venues outside heavily protected London during the 2012 Olympic Games, a rapid reaction force of 1,000 personnel has been ordered to be on stand-by in order to deal with a “mass casualty incident,” revealed the Sunday Mirror on 27 November.
