Saudi youth rapes childhood friend at knifepoint

Riyadh, August 03: A young Saudi man raped his childhood friend after threatening him with a knife following a party at a rest house in the Gulf Kingdom.

The man, in his 20s, was walking back with his 19-year-old friend after the party when he asked him to come with him to a dark lane for an important subject.

“When they were alone, the man pulled out a knife and put it on his friend’s neck…after raping him, he fled…police are still searching for the rapist,” Kabar newspaper said in a report from the southern province of Almajardah.

117 govt websites hacked in 6 months

New Delhi, August 03: As many as 117 government websites were hacked in first six months of this year, government informed Lok Sabha today.

However, the website of National Investigation Agency was not hacked but “temporarily disabled”, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Sachin Pilot said in a written reply.

“…a total of 117 Government websites were defaced during the period January-June, 2011,” the Minister said.

Jeddah, August 03: Saudi construction company Bin Laden group will build the world”s tallest tower for 1.2 billion dollars north of Jeddah.

Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal revealed that he had signed the deal to build the 3,280 feet high Kingdom Tower.

The mega project, first announced in 2008, would cover two square miles at its base and stand a kilometre high.

Model held for robbery in Mumbai

Mumbai, August 03: A 24-year-old model, Tarun Kapoor, was arrested by the Andheri police on Monday for robbing travellers after flying in two of his aides from another city. After conducting the robbery, the aides would fly back with the loot and would later share it equally.
