Quranic colloquims during Ramazan

Hyderabad, July 25: All India Majlis-e-Tameer-e-Millat Study Circle is organising Quranic colloqiums during the month of Ramzan at Gulshan-e-Khaleel, Masab Tank on various topics. Islamic scholars such as Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Shareef, Dr. Shahid Ali Abbasi, Dr. Mohammed Mushtaq Ali, Maulana Sadiq Mohiuddin Faheem, & Mr. Habeeb Abdur Rahman Al-Hamid will speak on various topics of Islamic teachings.

Bar girls beat up raiding cops

Mumbai, July 25: When 25 policemen barged into a “shut” bar at Saki Naka early on Sunday to stop “illegal goings-on”, they had no idea what was to follow. Within minutes of entering the place, the employees, including six bar girls, charged at the cops and beat them up, leaving two constables injured.

“Commencement of Ramzan and our Association with it” Address by Muslim scholars

Hyderabad, July 25: Before the commencement of Ramazan, Muslims should plan to get its blessings. Muslim scholars have written many books on worships and fasting. By studying those books, Muslims can determine to act. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Mohammed Azheruddin, Secretary, Public Relations of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Attempt to grab Muslim graveyard land in Medak

Medak, July 25: Graveyard situated near the entrance gate of Medak Town is facing the illegal attempts by a Non-Muslim trader to construct a path in it. A hut was removed and Mr. Yellaiah tried to usurp the graveyard land to construct shops.

Some Muslim leaders have conspired with him. Other Muslim leaders are trying to save this land from the land grabbers. Police should take immediate action against the culprits.

Efforts to defame Darul Uloom Deoband on internet

New Delhi, July 25: Darul Uloom Deoband in its press note said that certain communal organizations are trying to defame the institution by sending fake e-mails and by using Internet. It is an organized conspiracy to deface the reputation of this world famous Muslim institution.

A fake organization by name “Tahreek-e-Talibaan-e-Hindustan” issued an e-mail claiming that India never belonged to the Hindus. It was governed by the Muslims for centuries.

Driver gets killed in a robbery attempt

Hyderabad, July 25 (Siasat News): In a bizarre incident, a driver of the DCM van was electrocuted when he had gone to the house of the electrician with the intention of robbery in Raidurgam but fate had something otherwise.

According to Inspector Raidurgam, Mr. Suresh, DCM van driver D Ganesh, 28 was trying to jump off the wall of the electrician’s house as he wanted to gain entry in the house but came in connection with the live wires laid there.

Congress bigger evil for Muslims: Mulayam

New Delhi, July 25: With the election campaign for Uttar Pradesh sounded, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday dubbed Congress as a bigger evil for minorities than BJP, betraying concern that he saw the ‘secular rival’ as a threat to his Muslim votebase and raising possibility of disturbances in the upcoming Parliament session.

Makkah, July 25: Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council Saleh Bin-Humaid has warned that current crises in the Muslim world have diverted the attention of followers from more serious issues.

“The current crises have taken a dangerous turn diverting the attention of the Muslim Ummah from major issues such as Palestine,” said Bin-Humaid, who chaired the second session of the three-day conference organized by the Muslim World League (MWL) on the current issues of the Muslim world in Makkah on Sunday.

Muslim youth drowns in an attempt to take pictures at Osman Sagar

Woman gangraped in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, July 25: A 35-year-old woman was gangraped by unidentified men in Ghatkesar on Saturday night.

Locals noticed the victim in a semi-conscious state in an open plot and alerted the police on Sunday.

“On receiving information from locals, a police team went to the crime spot near Bhoopati School and shifted the victim, who was in an inebriated condition, to Gandhi Hospital,” Ghatkesar inspector K Srikanth said. Police said the woman had suffered injuries on her private parts and was undergoing treatment at the hospital. ”

2G scam: DMK general council defends Raja, Kanimozhi

New Delhi, July 25: The general council of the DMK which met here on Sunday has backedA Raja andM Kanimozhi, both of who are in prison in connection with allegations over the 2G spectrum allocation. It sought their release, pointing out that they were not convicted yet.

The general council also backedDayanidhi Maran who became the latest DMK member to bow out of the union cabinet, and accused the CBI of having a bias in striving to deny the bail pleas of Raja and Kanimozhi. Dayanidhi Maran was among the senior leaders who attended the deliberations of the party leadership here.

No one can downplay Pak: Khar

Jail for questioning Speaker move: CM

Steak served with worms at top Sharjah eatery

Dubai, July 25: A man who fancied a steak went to a famous food chain Chilli’s outlet at Sharjah’s Sahara Centre and ordered one.

As the dish was served, his hunger instantly turned into disgust as there were worms in the plate.

Infuriated, Bahaa Hijazi quickly took shots of the plate with his mobile phone, summoned the restaurant manager and protested.

The manager said sorry and simply offered him another free meal.

‘Virtually impossible’ to sight crescent on July 30: astronomer

Dubai, July 25: Moon will set before the sunset on 30th July, making it virtually impossible to sight the crescent moon on that day and thus the month of Ramadan will begin only on 1st August, predicted an astronomer.

Months in the lunar calendar start only after the sighting of the new moon and Islamic tradition make it mandatory that the crescent should be sighted after sunset to announce the beginning of the holy month.

11 TRS MLAs quit again, Speaker off to London till August 15

Hyderabad, July 25: The 11 MLAs of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) submitted their resignations again on Sunday while Congress and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs from Telangana held separate meetings to decide the course of action after their resignations were rejected. Confusion prevails over the resignations as instead of the Speaker, the Legislative Assembly Secretary Raja Sadaaram issued a statement saying that the resignations were not accepted as they were made in an emotionally surcharged atmosphere.

Without education & training pious society is impossible

Hyderabad, July 25: Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) had said “Anyone who stands firmly on my path will get the reward of 100 martyrs”. A visit to the far-off places of the poor persons reveals that men and women have not been following the tenets of Islam.

They are engaged in labour work and indulged in sins. If they are not provided with education and training in the right direction, it is not possible to build a pious society. A.P. gets maximum aid under Rajiv Vidya mission

Hyderabad, July 25: Govt. of A.P. received Rs. 1,453 crore financial assistance from Govt. of India under Rajiv Vidya Mission for providing infrastructure to schools. This is the largest grant received by the States.

Mr. Parthasarathy, Minister for Secondary Education, Govt. of A.P. told that the Govt. is making efforts to provide basic amenities to schools. Nearly 1200 school buildings were constructed. He also said that Govt. is trying to fill up all the vacant posts of teachers in Govt. schools.

Police tracing cellphone number used in 13/7 Mumbai blasts

Ahmedabad, July 25: The Gujarat police are now tracking a mobile number provided by the Mumbai police in connection with the recent serial blasts in the business capital of India.

Mumbai cops had gone through all phone calls made from three spots where the blasts took place.
