Jaswant Singh questions denial of bail to Raja, Kanimozhi

New Delhi, July 02: The lone rangers in the BJP appear to be completely unmindful of the party’s line and its priorities. Jaswant Singh , who recently returned to the BJP, on Friday questioned the judiciary’s wisdom in denying bail to 2G spectrum scandal accused Kanimozhi and A Raja as well as others found to be having a finger in the till.

In an interview to a private TV channel, Singh said that bail can’t be denied while the trial in the case was still on. He further said that putting the accused in jail was affecting investments in India.

Attempt to obtain visa on fake certificate led to arrest

Hyderabad, July 02 (Siasat News): The north zone team of commissioner’s task force arrested a youth who tried to obtain US visa by producing fake certificate.

Police also recovered fake certificate from his possession. According to the details, Md. Ibrahim Khaleeluddin, 34, resident of Aman Nagar A had completed his SSC and after that he learnt the computer hardware in a crash course, was serving at Standard Trading company at Tilak Road, Abids.

Telangana issue has national implications: Azad

Hyderabad, July 02: State Congress affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday said finding a solution to the contentious issue of Telangana was not an easy task.

Replying to queries from reporters after he called on Prajarajyam president K Chiranjeevi at his residence, Azad said the sentiments of people from both Telangana and Seemandhra needed to be taken before taking a call on the issue.

Model test for teachers eligibility test tomorrow

One income certificate applicable for 4 children: Collector

Hyderabad, July 2: Representation was made to Collector Hyderabad, Mr. Gulzar Natrajan by the helpline of three Urdu newspapers, Siasat, Rahnuma-e-Deccan and Munsif regarding the condition for separate income certificate for scholarship, for each student despite having same guardian.

The two member delegation comprised of Mr. Major SGM Qaudri president helpline Hyderabad and Mohammad Muneer Ahmed. The collector assured the delegation that he will immediately issue orders in this regard that if anyone has four children one income certificate will be applicable to all.

15 girls arrested, Sex racket busted in Noida

Noida, July 02: Fifteen alleged call girls were tonight arrested from sector 60 area near Dharam Kanta. A joint team of Women’s Cell, anti human trafficing cell, and sector 58 police arrested the girls following complaints that a sex racket was being run at Sector 60.

Police had earlier conducted raids but the alleged call girls used to flee before police teams reach there. Today, a joint team raided the area from all sides so that they do not get chance to escape.

Scholarships scheme: One income certificate is valid for all the children

Hyderabad, July 02: A deputation consisting of Major Ghouse Mohiuddin Quadri, President, Help Hyderabad and Mr. Mohammed Muneer Ahmed, Convener, Siasat Helpline met the Collector of Hyderabad Mr. Natarajan gulzar and represented the problems faced by the Muslim students in obtaining the income certificates for scholarships. The Collector issued orders stating that one income certificate of the parents is sufficient for all the children to get scholarships.

Huge protests grip Syria; 12 killed in clashes

Beirut, July 02: Hundreds of thousands of protesters flooded cities around Syria on Friday in one of the largest outpourings against the regime of President Bashar Assad since the uprisings began more than three months ago. At least 12 people were killed in various clashes, activists said.

The demonstrations underscored the resilience of the protesters despite Assad’s relentless crackdowns. Syrian rights groups say more than 1,400 people have been killed, most of them unarmed protesters, since mid-March.

Film producer Kalyan to be brought to City

Five die as train rams into auto

Nalgonda, July 2: Five persons died when the Secunderabad-Guntur Palnadu Express train hit an autorickshaw at an unmanned level crossing near Kondapakagudem village in Narketpally mandal on Friday evening.
According to reports, K.Pedda Andallu (40), K.
Komaramma (48), K.Lingaiah (80) and Dasari Vijay (38) died on the spot, and T.Parvathamma (32) died during treatment at Kamineni Hospital at Narketpally.
All the victims hailed from Kondapakagudem village.

Germany says Islamic terrorism still a threat

Berlin, July 02: Germany’s top security official said on Friday that the terrorist threat to the country hasn’t decreased and the number of radicals continues to grow, even with the death of Osama bin Laden.

Security officials saw no reason to lower Germany’s threat level following the death of the al-Qaida leader, said Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich, presenting the annual report by Germany’s domestic intelligence agency.

“The Islamist terrorist threat is widely varied and has not concentrated on a single leader of al-Qaida for a long time,” he said.

Six hurt in clash at marriage dinner

Hyderabad, July 02: A dispute over not being served hot food to the bridegroom led to a clash between relatives of the groom and bride at a marriage function at Kothakota in Mahabubnagar district on Friday. Six persons suffered injuries, police said.
According to Kothakota police, Sheikh Ahmed, a cook from Sakireddypally in Kothakota mandal, got married to a woman of the same village on Friday morning.
A dinner was hosted in the night and when food was served, Ahmed took objection to not being served hot rice. He picked up an argument with the relatives of the bride.

Inter supplementary results on Saturday

Hyderabad, July 02: The results of first year Intermediate advanced supplementary examinations held in May/ June for general and vocational courses will be released at 11 am on Saturday.
The results along with marks can be obtained through internet, IVRS and SMS from mobile phone operators.
The results with marks can also be obtained from Parishkaram Call Centres (e-Seva) by dialling 1100 from any BSNL fixed line in the state or 18004251110 from any landline/mobile phone.
Students can also access the results through e-Seva centres and APOnline centres across the state.

Court summons two IAS officers in contempt case

Hyderabad, July 02: A division bench of the AP High Court on Friday summoned two senior IAS officers of the endowments department KV Ramanachary, principal secretary and JSV Prasad, commissioner endowments in connection with charges of wanton violation of orders of the court.
The bench comprising justice G. Raghuram and justice Ramesh Ranganathan was dealing with a contempt petition filed by Ganga Raj Kumar complaining that the officials had failed to constitute the Trust Board of the Dwarka Tirumala temple in accordance with directions of the High Court.

Seemandhra leaders chalk out Delhi plan
