Mumbai, June 28: Sonam Kapoor has begin to understand the nuances of movie business rather well. After witnessing the box office debacle of her two big-budget movies, Sonam has realised it is wiser to do small budget films like her forthcoming “I Hate Luv Storys”.

“I decided let’s go the other way. Quite a few seasoned directors offered me films. When you work with Sanjay Bhansali (‘Saawariya’) and Rakeysh Mehra (‘Delhi 6’), the audience expects so much from you. Both the films were big budget films, ” Sonam, 25, told in an interview.

In his film career spanning over six decades, the 84-year-old actor has given super hit flicks including “Ziddi”, “Taxi Driver”, “Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai”, “Tere Ghar Ke Samne”, “Guide”, “Johnny Mera Naam”, “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” and “Jewel Thief”.

He has also played a vital role in launching fresh faces in the film industry.

Mumbai, June 28: Mahesh Manjrekar has vowed to give up acting. But his new best-friend Salman Khan keeps coaxing Manjrekar back to the camera. For Salman’s home production Dabangg Manjrekar stepped into the role of debutante Sonakshi Sinha’s father on Salman say-so.

That was meant to be Manjrekar’s swan song as an actor.

But now he has again been persuaded to face the camera with Salman for Anees Bazmi’s Ready.

Says a source, “It was during their Hyderabad schedule for Golmaal 3 that Kareena persuaded Tusshar to start doing power yoga. Mumbai, June 28: Two years after his break- up with super-model Viveka Babajee, writer-director Rohit Jugraj (assistant to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ram Gopal Varma and director of the well-received feature film Superstar) was shell-shocked on Friday when news of his ex-girls suicide came to him.

Mumbai, June 28: After Blue last year Diwali, you would think that Akshay Kumar would stay away from Diwali releases. In fact that is what Vipul had presumed and was planning an Eid or a post-Diwali release for Action Replay starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

But a call from Akshay from London changed Vipul’s plans. Akshay who is a co-producer of Action Replay asked Vipul to go in for a Diwali release, although a big franchise film Gol Maal 3 was already scheduled.
