Store robbed of laptops

Hyderabad, May 11 (Siasat News): As many as 18 laptops were stolen from an electronic store at Himayathnagar on Sunday.

On Monday morning, the shutter of the store was found broken and the laptops were missing.

The DCP, Mr. Akun Sabharwal said that the store had no central locking system and no CCTV cameras, which could have helped the police nab the culprits.

Youth involved in thefts arrested

Hyderabad, May 01 (Siasat News): Cyberabad police has arrested a youth who was involved in 250 cases of thefts. Police laid down a trap to nab the thief Maruti when he was trying to sell the stolen ornaments 20 tolas gold was seized from his possession. He was said to be a sharp thief and whatever item he liked, he used to steal them.

A day long hunger strike of Hyderabad Union of Journalists

Hyderabad, April 29 (Siasat News): A day long hunger strike of Hyderabad Union of Journalists (HUJ) affiliated to Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) was organized at Press Club Basheer Baug in protest against the IPS official Anjenayalu who was promoted as commissioner of police, Vijayawada.

Many political leaders, editors and senior journalists of different newspapers reached the camp to show their solidarity with the journalists on strike.

Muslim students would be deprived of scholarship?

Hyderabad, April 24 (Siasat News): The state government citing the poor financial resources have reduced 50% seats in IIT category.

Now it seems that the scheme related to the payment of Muslim students fees in the form of scholarship, would either be withdrawn or the number of beneficiaries would be reduced.

It is to be recalled here that the former Chief Minister late YS Rajsekhar Reddy had started the fee reimbursement scheme.

During the current year 20 lakhs students are registered to be benefited by this scheme.

Urdu Summer School from May 1

Hyderabad, April 20 (Siasat News): Urdu summer school is to be started from May 1 to 31 at Urdu Ghar, Moghalpura and Madrasa Anwariya Hashmiya, Farooque Nagar behind Falaknuma Palace under the aegis of Anjuman Taraqqi-e-Urdu Greater Hyderabad and Urdu Ghar Trust jointly.

Sudden demise

Hyderabad, April 12 (Siasat News): Mir Mahboob Ali alias Javeed who was working as cameraman with Siasat Daily breathed his last on Sunday evening.

Now, the financial problem is turned into a problem, which no one could have imagined! The most important minority institution i.e. Haj House is ‘infested’ with stray monkeys causing havoc not only to the office bearers but also the visitors.

Hyderabad, March 30 (Siasat News): It has come to the knowledge of the media that on the pretext of celebrating Hanuman Jyanthi in twin city, youths from saffronised parties of Maharashtra and Gujrarat have allegedly reached here and being put in various hotels of the twin cities.

It is feared that youths are brought here to create communal trouble in those areas where curfew is not imposed. Thus turning the entire twin cities, a hot bed, when the reports last came in.

SSC Exams to be commenced from March 22

Hyderabad, March 20 (Siasat News): According to the SSC Board, all preparations are completed for the conduct of SSC Board Exams to be commenced from Monday, March 22, 2010.

This year 13,63,859 students will appear in the exams. The Board has introduced few changes in the existing method to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the exams.

Apart from this, at the time of the results, grading system is introduced. To implement this system, necessary steps are being undertaken.

Sujit Kumar: A veteran of Hindi and Bhojpuri films

Sujit Kumar who quietly died last week, was the traditional side hero of the Hindi movies who started his career with small roles.

He graduated to B class films as hero such as Ek Saal Pehle and Lal Bungalow where he was teamed up with late actress Sayeeda Khan and South Indian actress Jayanti. He was a talented actor and his histrionics were realized by the film industry.

Before he could set him ablaze, people around prevented him to do so. This incident took place at Mallakunta near M J Market. Why auto driver Md. Aslam took this drastic step? It is because he had taken money from a moneylender/financier Mahavirchand Jain who run an illegal business of financing.

Delay in formation of Telangana would encourage militancy: Rajanna
