Gambling den raided at Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad, August 12 (Siasat News): Jubilee Hills police conducted a raid on a gambling den situated and arrested 20 gamblers and seized lakhs of rupees.

According to the police, it was revealed that a gambling den namely Elite Club was illegally conducting gambling activities in the club premises.

Hence the raid was conducted and all were arrested who were present at that time. Further investigations are on.

Man held for traveling on fake passport

Hyderabad, August 11 (Siasat News): The immigration staff of the Shamshabad airport handed over a traveler to the RGI police on his attempt to travel on a fake passport.

According to the police G Satish, 27, and native of east Godavari, had obtained a passport from Vishakhapatnam in 2001 and went to Saudi Arabia in 2003 as an electrician.

Chronic thief arrested

Hyderabad, August 9 (Siasat News): Kukatpally police has arrested a chronic thief and seized stolen items from his possession worth Rs. 6.5 lakh.

Vamsi Krishna, 29, a student of MBA, was involved in theft cases committed in Hyderabad and Cyberabad limits.

According to the police, he entered the world of crime in 2001 and committed 38 thefts and went to jail many times in the past.

It is also disclosed that Vamsi committed 6 crimes after he got released from the jail recently.

Hyderabad, August 7 (Siasat News): Police Chhatrinaka has arrested a man selling illicit liquor and seized 500 packets and his scooter which had no number plate.

According to police, L Suraj Singh, 23, is the resident of Jumerat Bazar. According to ASI Khaja Moinuddin, he was arrested near Kandikal gate and was said to be involved in shifting the illicit liquor from Dhoolpet.

Burglars rob dental hospital

Hyderabad, July 19 (Siasat News): A dental hospital at Srinagar colony was broken into late on Sunday and property worth Rs. 1 lakh was stolen. The Banjara Hills police said that the theft took place at Mahanagar Dental Hospital.

The staff locked the hospital at 9 pm on Saturday and when they returned on Sunday, they found the main gate lock broken. The staff alerted hospital head Dr. Sri Latha who later approached the Banjara Hills police and lodged a complaint.

Hyderabad, July 17 (Siasat News): A junior assistant in the GHMC was caught red handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials while accepting a bribe of Rs. 1500.

The accused has been identified as K Jagannadham. He allegedly took bribe from one Rajesh Umbedkar to hand over the Mutation Proceedings of the property purchased by Rajesh in the name of his mother.

Murderers get rigorous imprisonment

Hyderabad, July 13 (Siasat News): Second Additional Metropolitan Judge in a ruling convicted two murderers for 10 years each rigorous imprisonment.

According to the sources, Md. Shafiur Rahman alias Rizwan and Md. Zaheer Ahmed had killed one C Shiva Krishna of Doodbowli on January 11, 2008 in Madannapet.

Inspector Madannapet, Mr. K Ashok Chakravorthy had arrested them on July 23, 2008 and sent them to judicial custody and the hearing on the case was started in 2009.

Burglars steal 20 tolas of gold

Hyderabad, July 12 (Siasat News): Burglars broke into the house of a retired technical engineer and stole 20 tolas of gold ornaments at Banjara Hills here late on Saturday night.

The victim Mr. Rajendra Prasad, is a resident of Pragathi Nagar. According to the Banjara Hills police, the offenders gained entry into the house by breaking open the lock of the rear door.

The police registered a case of house burglary and investigating.

Police solves murder mystery

Hyderabad, July 7 (Siasat News): A team of the task force, east zone on Tuesday, cracked the mystery behind the recent double murders of husband and wife G Gopal and Anjeneya Manga at a construction site in Nallakunta and arrested Narsimhulu, 35.

The police said that Narsimhulu was depressed because Manga, who he was intimate with, started to ignore him. This led him to kill the couple.

Three minor girl students drown

Hyderabad, July 6 (Siasat News): Three minor girls who were returning home after school, drowned in a water pit at Ilapur in Patancheru in the outskirts of the city on Monday evening.

The police said the girls aged between 11 to 13 years, may have gone to the pit after answering the call of nature. The victims have been identified as Talari Nagarani, 12, T Mamata, 11 and T Sravanthi 13, all residents of Ilapur tanda.

Fake cops dupe jeweler

Hyderabad, July 2 (Siasat News): Three men posing as cops snatched 1.5 kg of gold ornaments from a Gujarati merchant at Tank Bund and escaped on two motorcycles on Thursday.

The merchant Praveen Babulal Soni, native of Ahmedabad, supplies gold ornaments to city jewelers.

The fake cops approached him on the pretext of questioning him, grabbed his bag containing gold and immediately fled the scene.

Hyderabad, July 01 (Siasat News): Police Banjara Hills solved the murder mystery of an unidentified woman by arresting to suspects.

The deceased is identified as Radhabai. Inspector Banjara Hills Mr. Sudarshan said murderers slit Radhabai’s throat at KBR Park the day before. She was the native of Adilabad and having four children.

However, she had left her husband and came to the city. According to the police she was involved in flesh trade.

Teenaged girl dies in bike mishap

Hyderabad June 29 (Siasat News): An 18-year-old girl on Monday, succumbed to her injuries she suffered in a motorcycle accident at Towlichowki on June 25.

According to police, the girl Shagufta Shahwar and her boyfriend Abdul Bari were travelling on a motorcycle when the driver of an RTC bus, taking a U-turn at Towlichowki applied sudden brakes.

Hyderabad, June 28 (Siasat News): The Golconda police arrested a maidservant and her boy friend for stealing 42 tolas of gold jewellery worth Rs. 7.5 lakh.

The accused Afreen Anjum, 29, and her boy friend Sheikh Ali Ahmed Ali, 27, had hidden the jewellery in a garbage bin to be disposed of later.

According to the police, Afreen worked at the house of a retired BHEL employee, Mr. Omer Farooq at Balreddynagar in Golconda.

According to the details, under the supervision of the DIG of CBI (Hyderabad zone) M/s V V Lakshmi Narayana and SPS Venkatesh, DSP R M Khan, had arrested Mr. V Gopal Reddy, senior div. Manager while he was accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from a contractor.
