Abducted boy rescued

Hyderabad, February 5 (Siasat News): The Gopalapuram police on Friday rescued an 11-year-old by arresting an autorickshaw driver who kidnapped the boy while he was on his way home from school.

The accused, Md. Ahmed, an autorickshaw driver from Borabanda used to drop school children at St. Mary’s School, Secunderabad.

Ahmad had sought a ransom of Rs. 2 lakh from the boy’s father Mr. Sanjay Gupta.

Vehicle lifters nabbed

Hyderabad, February 4 (Siasat News): Two vehicle lifters were arrested by the KPHB police today and eight stolen vehicles recovered from them.

The police caught Sandeep and Manoj Kumar near Malaysian Township during routine vehicle checking. As they could not produce the documents, they were taken into custody.

On interrogation, the duo admitted that along with an associate, they had committed theft of eight vehicles.

Youth ends life

Hyderabad, February 3 (Siasat News): A 28-year-old person was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a private hostel at Chaitanyapuri.

The deceased K Ramesh of Karimnagar, was staying in Bhavani men’s hostel at Kothapet. He was found unconscious in his room and was shifted to a hospital where he died during the treatment.

Police suspect Ramesh might have consumed poison.

Rs. 20 lakh stolen by office boy

Hyderabad, February 2 (Siasat News): An office boy working at Sanjay Chemicals located at PG Road in Ramgopalpet stole Rs. 20 lakh kept in the office here on Tuesday.

According to the Ramgopalpet police, the suspect Shankar 20, a native of Nepal, had noticed his employer Mr. V Manoj, keeping the cash in the drawer.

He stole the money and fled. Further investigations are on.

Women found murdered

Hyderabad, February 01 (Siasat News):

Two women were found murdered in their flat in Miyapur on Monday evening. The women Nischita Mule, 30 and her mother-in-law Vimala Mule, 70 died as their heads were smashed with a blunt object at their La Gardenia apartments.

A one-year-old boy who was also present in the house, was not attacked.

Husband commits suicide over wife’s death

Hyderabad, January 31 (Siasat News): A husband who was so upset and lonely after the death of his wife, committed suicide in the jurisdiction Naredmet police station.

35-year-old Janardhan was the resident of Vinayak Nagar in Ranga Reddy district and was a centering labour. On the night of January 26, he poured kerosene on his body and set himself ablaze.

He was immediately shifted to the hospitals by his relatives but he died during the treatment.

Financial stress led to suicide

Hyderabad, January 29 (Siasat News): A 26-year-old youth committed suicide as he was financially burdened. He was married to one Shanthi just three years back.

Krishna, as his name, was financially upset since last few days, which also resulted into family feuds.

He was so disgusted with the development that he took the extreme step of ending his life when he entered a mini bus stationed near a school and hanged himself in the bus.

Police Chilkalguda has registered a case and further investigation is going on.

One killed in collision

Hyderabad, January 27 (Siasat News): One person died and two others injured in a collision between an auto trolley and an RTC bus near Balanagar crossroads.

The victim V Chanti, 31, was a resident of Balkampet. Cahanti along with two friends, Madhu and Lakshmipathi were on their way to Sanathnagar when Madhu lost control over the vehicle and rammed it into an RTC bus at a high speed.

Godown gutted at Fatehnagar

Hyderabad, January 25 (Siasat News): Fire broke out in a PVC pipes godown at Fatehnagar at Sanathnagar damaging property worth thousands of rupees.

No one was injured in the mishap. One fire tender each from Sanathnagar, Filmnagar and Jeedimetla reached the place and doused the flames within an hour.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Gold stolen at airport

Hyderabad, January 19 (Siasat News): Unidentified persons stole a bag containing 18 tolas of gold ornaments, $120 and two passports from Rajiv Gandhi International airport on Tuesday.

The bag belonged to Mr. K Rayappa Reddy, 65 and his wife Ms Nirmala, 55 who had returned from Abu Dhabi.

‘As the door of the car was left open, drivers who had parked their vehicles next to the couple’s SUV might have noticed the bag and escaped with it,’ said the RGI police SI Mr. J Bhaskar.

Humorous poet Talib Khundmiri passes away

Hyderabad, January 17 (Siasat News): Renowned satirical and humorous poet Talib Khundmiri passes away. He had gone to attend a Mushaira to Lonavla, a hill resort near Mumbai.

He was accompanied by another Hyderabad poet Agha Sarosh. The Mushaira was continued till 3 am and after that when he reached his hotel, he complained about the chest pain. Terming it as the gas problem, he didn’t consult any doctor.

Rowdy sheeters burnt mats of the mosque

Hyderabad, January 15 (Siasat News): The rowdy sheeters in the city are again up in the arms and don’t bother even to pollute the sanctity of a mosque.

Those elements that are always busy in collecting ‘mamool’ on the construction of houses and other complexes are doing so for the construction of a mosque too. In an incident, three rowdy sheeters who are said to be brothers prevented the construction of a mosque and allegedly demolish the wall and burnt the mats which are used for namaz.

Hyderabad, October 21 (Siasat News): A shop owner in Malkajgiri attacked two brothers with a knife and injured them.

It is said that two brothers Mohanlal and Ganesh were on loggerheads with a shop owner of the area.

Today, both of them had an altercation with the shop owner where the owner took out a knife and attacked them. Further investigations are on.

Murder plot foiled

Hyderabad, August 25 (Siasat News): Police nabbed two persons and foiled a murder conspiracy. They also seized two daggers from their possession.

According to an official release a Task Force team nabbed Mazher Hussein, 26 and Nayeem Khan, 23, while they were moving near jama Masjid, Ramnaspura and seized two daggers.

According to police one Shabbir and his friend Mazher had rivalry with regard to a plot of land in Mustafa nagar. Further investigations are on.

Women held for robberies

Hyderabad, August 24 (Siasat News): The Habeebnagar police arrested 2 women burglars and recovered 66 tolas of gold, 1.14 kgs of silver ornaments and Rs. 70,000 from them.

The arrested women are Chemchu Laxmi, 25 and G Renuka, 45. They robbed the houses in S R Nagar, Panjagutta and Habeebnagar, the police said.

Hyderabad, August 19 (Siasat News): The police arrested two persons who injured a pharmacist of a drug store in L B Nagar on august 12 and stole Rs. 6500 from the shop.

The accused are V Narayana Rao, 32, of Vizag and Sheikh Sattavali, 26, of Kurnool.

Hyderabad, August 18 (Siasat News): Majid-e-Mustafa, situated at Naya Quila, Golconda fort, is 400 year old mosque built in Turkish architecture using Sang-e-moosa.

This was a landmark Qutub Shahi mosque that was abandoned due to the reasons best known to the local people. However, of late, it was revealed that the officials related to the proposed golf course coming up here, are denying permission to reach the mosque.

Pakistan’s highest award for Shams-ur-Rahman Farooqui

Hyderabad, August 18 (Siasat News): As per the information forwarded by Mr. Mujtaba Hussein, the eminent Urdu author, critic, research scholar and poet Mr. Shamsu-ur-Rahman Farooqui is selected for the second highest civilian award of Pakistan ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’ in recognition of his dedicated work for the Urdu language.

The government of Pakistan has announced this recently. Mr. Farooqui is the second Indian who would receive this award after legendry Indian film personality Mr. Dilip Kumar.

Ugandan arrested peddling cocaine

Hyderabad, August 17 (Siasat News): The police arrested yet another African student peddling cocaine in the city.

Bunkedeko Bbira adil, 23, from Uganda, was nabbed while he was looking for clients at the City Centre Mall at Panjagutta.

According to the Banjara Hills police inspector Mr. M Sudarshan, the accused Adil is the son of the president of chamber of commerce of Uganda.

Police seized meager 3 grams of cocaine from his possession. Further investigations are on.

Hyderabad, August 16 (Siasat News): Mr. Nayeem Wajahat, staff reporter Siasat Daily has been elected unopposed, the council member of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ).

In the recently held the elections, Mr. D Soma Sundaram has been elected state president for the second term whereas Mr. Y Narendra Reddy has been elected as General Secretary.

This is to be noted here that the members of APUWJ are elected unopposed this time. The other members include Mr. Md. Basheeruddin, Mirza Javed and others.

Zahid Ali Khan seeks apology from Jeevan Reddy

Hyderabad, August 14 (Siasat News): TDP politburo member Mr. Zahid Ali Khan has expressed his dissidence over the defamatory remarks on Moghal emperor Aurangzeb by congress leader Jeevan Reddy.

Mr. Khan, showing his reaction, said that Mr. Reddy had no right to utter the name of an emperor of Aurangzeb’s repute. In his journalistic statement, Mr. Khan termed Jeevan Reddy as a fraud and deceiver.
