Vehicle-lifter arrested

Hyderabad, April 28 (Siasat News): The city police arrested a vehicle-lifter at Tallagadda bus stand and recovered six motorcycles worth Rs. 3 lakh, from his possession.

According to the police, the accused Syed Naushad, 19, is a resident of Kishanbaug of Bahadurpura.

During interrogation, Naushad confessed that he was inspired by his brother Shahzaad, who is a house burglar, to earn easy money. Naushad was helped by his friend Mukhtar. The accused was handed over to Tappachabutra police.

Man robs woman

Hyderabad, April 26 (Siasat News): A man, under the pretext of renting a portion of the house, stole the gold ornaments from a house wife at Hanumanpet under the Neredmet police station limits.

According to police, an unidentified person approached the house of Mr. Venkatesh and Ms Kala seeking a portion on rent from them. The stranger stole a four tola gold chain and a ring from them.

Neredmet police have registered a case and investigations are on.

Missing youth’s body fished out

Hyderabad, April 25 (Siasat News): The dead body of a missing youth Suri Babu was fished out from a pond situated at Pet Bashirabad. This incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Pet Bashirabad police station.

According to the details, Suri went missing since April 20. His parents lodged a complaint with the police. The police started the search operation and ultimately, the dead body was fished out from a pond near Kompally.

Hyderabad, April 21 (Siasat News): A man consumed pesticides as he was unable to bear the financial burden created out of the loss in his business and the loans he had taken from various people which could not be repaid, died immediately after the consumption.

This incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Osmania University police station. According to the details, 40-year-old Raju, a welder, was under heavy financial burden and his income was reduced to the level where he could not meet both the ends.

Wife set ablaze by husband

Hyderabad, April 20 (Siasat News): The gory incident of husband setting his wife ablaze occurred in L B Nagar phase-II last night. 25-year-old Padmavathi died during the treatment.

She was admitted to the hospital by her relatives. According to the details, Bhaktinath, resident of NTR Nagar, torched Padmavathi, who was said to be his second wife. They got married seven years ago.

Gas cylinder blast in school

Hyderabad, April 19 (Siasat News): A big incident averted in Borabanda’s Indira Nagar, when hearing a gas cylinder blast was heard by the school students and immediately came out of the building.

This incident occurred at Little Bells Grammar School’s second floor. At the time of the blast, the students were busy writing their annual exams. According to the reliable sources, nearly 500 students were writing their exams.

Murder accused arrested

Hyderabad, April 18 (Siasat News): The special investigation team of Cyberabad Police has arrested eleven accused who were allegedly involved in the murder of advocate Ashok Reddy in Nanakramguda last month. Police also seized the weapons and the vehicle used in the murder.

Commissioner Police, Cyberabad, Mr. C H Dwaraka Trirmal Rao, while narrating the details, said that the dispute in land situated in survey No. 50,61 and 74 at Sherlingampally, is the cause of the advocate’s death.

Hyderabad, April 14 (Siasat News): A girl student was so disgusted after she was being reprimanded by her father that she took the extreme step of ending her life by consuming poison.

This incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Jubilee Hills police station. 15-year-old B Nagamani of Ambekar Nagar colony took the extreme step and was immediately shifted to the hospital where she could not be survived last night.

Hyderabad, April 13 (Siasat News): After getting credible information, the Commissioner’s Task Force, south zone team nabbed two persons when they were trying to cheat gullible people by selling white powder as brown sugar (a narcotic substance) for Rs. 10 lakh.

The arrested Mohd. Rayees Khan, 28 from Pratapgarh district of UP and Pathan Ikhtiyar Khan, 35 a driver from Kutch district of Gujarat, were handed over to Mirchowk police.

Dead bodies fished out from Hussein Sagar

Hyderabad, April 12 (Siasat News): Police fished out two dead bodies from Hussein Sagar in the morning hours. The dead bodies of man and a woman are yet to be identified.

They are said to be in the age group of 25 years. Police said that the body of the man is totally decomposed with a white shirt and black pant on and purple sari and blouse were found on the woman’s body.

Police seizes DVDs

Hyderabad, April 11 (Siasat News): The Task Force police on Sunday raided Super Star videos located at Gulzar Houz and seized 1700 pirated DVDs of various Telugu, Hindi and English movies.

The police arrested the owner of the shop Noor Mohammad, a resident of Gulzar Houz. Noor used to buy DVDs from Chennai for about Rs. 30 a disc and sell the same for Rs. 70.

Hyderabad, April 9 (Siasat News): A videographer died traveling rammed into a roadside religious structure and overturned at Jubilee Hills in the wee hours of Friday.

Mohd. Yaseen, 25, a resident of HF Nagar in Jubilee Hills, was going in his Indica car to get milk when he rammed it into a roadside religious structure at Sriram Nagar cross roads causing the vehicle to turn turtle. He died instantly.

Nurse commits suicide

Hyderabad, April 5 (Siasat News): A staff nurse of Yashoda Hospital, Malakpet, ended her life by administering herself an injection in the hostel of the hospital premises on Monday morning.

The nurse C Divya Nair, 23, hailing from Cherukolpuzha of Kerala, was not happy with the choice of groom selected by her parents, according to the suicide note left by her, the police said.

Four held for bid to murder

Hyderabad, March 24 (Siasat News): Uppal police arrested four persons for allegedly making a vain attempt to eliminate rowdy-sheeter belonging to Amberpet.

Police said that Abdul Jaffer, Sheru Khan, Mohd. Imran and Mohd. Abdul Nizamuddin and Mahboob, who are also said to be rowdy-sheeters, engaged Khadeer of Gulbarga.

“Nizamuddin and Mahboob hatched a plan to kill their rival Ghori Mohammed of Amberpet. The hired assailants made a vain attempt to kill Ghori in Kachiguda recently.” Uppal inspector S Raju said.

SSC exams begin from today

Hyderabad, March 24 (Siasat News): SSC examinations are beginning from today in Andhra Pradesh where 13,00,000 candidates will appear. The timings of the exam will be from 9.30 am to 12.00 noon.

Director government examinations, had reviewed all the arrangements done for the smooth conduct. 5841 centres are formed and more than 300 flying squads are constituted.

Electricity problems in Owaisi Nagar

Owaisi Nagar, Idi Bazar colonies are situated just behind the electricity office but as the saying goes that there is always darkness beneath the lamp.

Almost two/three lanes and by-lanes in this colony experience the abrupt disconnection of the supply for 10 minutes in an hour’s supply and after every 10 minutes, the supply goes off for an hour or two.

This problem was brought to the notice of the concerned authorities of the electricity department but no action was taken so far.

Remove the statues of Muslim icons: Action Committee

Hyderabad, March 21 (Siasat News): Islam does not permit the making of idols and its installation. Telangana Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee has urged the government that statues of three Muslim icons should be removed from Tank Bund within a month.

Mr. Mohd. Amanullah Khan, convener committee, in a statement, said that if the government failed to remove the statues within one month, Muslims will destroy the statues and will throw them into Hussein Sagar.

Last year in the month of December 2010, I was admitted to Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences, Panjagutta and was there for 6 days under treatment and was discharged with completely cured.

I was very impressed by the attitude and sense of duty of the doctors. Strangely, these very doctors are on strike since last 20 days demanding hike in their pay scale.

Appeal to CM for pension

Due to the non-payment of pension for the month of February, 2011, we, the pensioners are financially struck and nearing to starvation.

It is because of the one or the other bandh and strikes, we are paying the penalty. Whatever agitation is going on, it should be there but what is the sense in depriving us from our pension payment?

The office-bearers of the union are releasing stray and contradictory statements, which have nothing to do with our livelihood.
