25yr old unidentified man body found

An unidentified man of about 25 years was found murdered in the Hayathnagar police limits.

The body was found near Jana Chaitanya Ventures on Saturday morning. He has been murdered by some unidentified persons who threw boulders on his head. The Hayathnagar police registered a case of murder under Section 302 and began investigations by shifting the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem and identification. (INN)

Road Accident: 4 killed

A nine-year-old boy and his relative died on the spot when the bike they were travelling on was hit by a DCM van.

According to Madhapur police, the accident occurred on Madhapur road on Friday night. Both Saidulu, 25, and the pillion rider M Anji, 9, of Ayyappa Society died on the spot.

55yr old man killed in train accident

A 55-year-old businessman was killed after he was hit by a train between Yakutpura and Uppuguda railway stations.

The incident took place on Friday evening. The Kachiuguda Railway Police later identified the deceased as Md Iqbal, a resident of Bhavani Nagar near Talab Katta. (INN)

Two labourers die after falling from height

A 60-year-old labourer died after he fell down from the first floor of an under-construction building in Musheerabad on Saturday morning.

According to police, V Pentaiah of Musheerabad, accidentally fell down while working at an under-construction building near his residence. He died on the spot.

In a similar case, G Chinnaiah, 30, of Karman Ghat, died on the spot after falling down from the third floor of an under-construction building in Saroornagar police limits on Friday night. (INN)

KCR meets DGP, Stephenson

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday held separate meetings with Director General of Police Anurag Sharma and nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson.

According to sources, Elvis called on KCR at his camp office at Begumpet and held discussions for about half-an-hour. He reportedly briefed the Chief Minister about the statement that he recorded before the court in ‘Cash for Vote’ scam and other related developments. This is the first time that Elvis has met the Chief Minister after the scam broke out on May 31 with the arrest of TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy.

TS Govt releases Rs 2043 Cr toward Crop Loan waiver

The Telangana Government on Saturday accorded administrative sanction for an amount of Rs. 2,043 crore towards the Crop Loan Waiver Scheme, 2014.

As against the allocation of Rs. 4,250 Crore made in the budget for 2015-16, the State Government released Rs. 2,043 Crore on Saturday. An amount of Rs 2,207 crore is yet to be released towards the second installment of crop loan waiver. The Director of Agriculture has been directed to take further action in this regard. (INN)

Venkaiah asks KCR, Naidu to focus on development

Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday asked Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, K Chandrashekhar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu respectively, to set aside their differences and focus on the development of their respective States.

Speaking to media persons at Nellore, Venkaiah Naidu said both the Telugu States should compete with each other in terms of development and not in creating controversies. He said that the law would take its own course in dealing with the ongoing controversies and both the Chief Ministers need not interfere on those issues.

Krishnaiah approaches HC seeking CBI probe into ‘Cash for Vote’ issue

Leading advocate PV Krishnaiah on Friday filed a petition in the Hyderabad High Court seeking CBI probe into all the developments related to ‘Cash for Vote’ case.

In his petition, Krishnaiah said that the arrest of TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, allegations of phone tapping, defections in different parties and other developments should be probed through CBI. TS Govt releases Rs. 5.25 Crore for SETWIN staff salaries

A seven-year-old girl died of injuries which she suffered after she was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road.

Suicide cases: Three persons commit suicide

A 40-year-old man committed suicide allegedly due to financial problems.

According to Kushaiguda police, V Ramana, took the extreme step at his residence in Moulali Housing Board Colony on Thursday night. He reportedly took some loans for his daughter’s marriage and could not repay on time which consequently drove him to suicide.

In another case, S Ellamma, 45, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Om Nagar of Begum Bazar police limits on Thursday night. The reasons that drove her to suicide are yet to be ascertained.

7yr old girl raped, People kill Rapist in West Godavari

Angry locals lynched a rapist in Madhepally in Eluru mandal of West Godavari district on Friday.

The person, identified as Suresh, was accused of raping and killing a seven year old girl. The girl went missing a couple of days ago and was found stuffed in an iron box.

The girl Lavanya, a student of Class I, went missing after going to a grocery shop to get some eggs. The girl’s parents suspected their neighbor Suresh and asked him. But, he feigned innocence.

Panchayat Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Friday asked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to clarify as to why he was afraid if he was not involved in the ‘Cash for Vote’ case.
