Prof Srinivas Reddy, TRS office secretary taken oath office as an MLC under Governor’s quota here on Friday.
Telangana Legislature Council Chairman Swamy Goud administered him the oath at a simple program at the Jubilee Hall this morning. Considered to be a close aide of the TRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Prof Reddy has been associating with the party since inception.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy extended thanks to KCR for nominating him for the Upper House of the Telangana State. “I did not except any top posts or political positions” he said. Prof Reddy also stated that his case was a classic example that those who serve the TRS will definitely get recognition and justice.
The MLC also took serious exception to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu for crying foul on section 8. Reddy warned of another movement if Naidu continues to hatch conspiracies against Telangana state after one year of bifurcation. “We have accepted for joint capital as to enable them to construct their own capital city and Naidu will not have any powers in Hyderabad” he pointed out.
