CHINESE CHILI CHICKEN RECIPE

Ingredients for chinese chilli chicken:

500 -600 gms Boneless Chicken
2 tbsp Soya Sauce
1 Egg
2 tbsp Corn Flour/Corn Starch
5-6 Chopped Green Chilies
2 Green Onion Chopped
1 tsp Garlic Paste
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp White Pepper Powder
1 tsp Sugar
A pinch of ajinomoto
2 cups chicken Broth/ Water
1 tbsp Oil
Oil to fry

Preparation:

Cut the boneless chicken pieces into1 ” cubes.
Take 1tbsp. Soya sauce, 1tbsp. corn flour, salt, egg in a bowl and marinate chicken pieces in the the mixture for about 10-15 minutes.

Chicken Manchurian

Ingredients:
Chicken thighs 4 no.(skinned and cut into cubes of size 1/2″ each.)
8 pods Garlic chopped fine.
1 small Onion chopped fine
1 tsp Soya sauce or as required
1 tsp Tomato ketchup or as required
1/4 tsp Chilli Pwd (optional)
8 no. Green Chillies chopped fine
4 tsp Refined Oil
1/4 cup all purpose flour/Maida
2 tbsp Cornflour
Salt to taste

Method:

Rub salt and marinate chicken for an hour.
Make a batter of maida and cornflour and soak the chicken pieces into it. Deep fry the chicken pieces and keep aside.

Recipe: Masala Buttermilk

Ingredients:

• 2 cups plain yoghurt
• 3 cups chilled water
• 1 tsp. coriander leaves finely chopped
• 1 stalk curry leaves
• 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
• 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
• 1 tsp ginger grated
• 1 green chilli
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp oil
Procedure:

• Beat curds with whipper till smooth.
• Add water, churn well.
• Squeeze ginger juice in buttermilk.
• Add salt. Break chilli into two halves.
• Heat a small pan, add oil.

Taliban buying kids for Rs. 5 lakh to act as suicide bombers: Rehman Malik

Islamabad, June 16: The Taliban is buying children for 500,000 to 2.5 million rupees to convert them into suicide bombers, and execute barbarous terrorist activities, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik has revealed.

Speaking at an award distribution ceremony, Malik said Pakistan is determined to continue the war against terrorism till the Taliban are flushed out of the country.

“We had two options either to surrender before the terrorists or fight with them and now terrorists were bound to run from Swat, Dir and Buner,” The News quoted Malik, as saying.

Doha trade “impasse” broken: Anand Sharma

New Delhi, June 16: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said on Monday that “the impasse has been broken” over the World Trade Organisation’s long-running Doha round of world trade talks.

While Sharma did not give a timeline for the talks to conclude, he said both the United States and India had emerged from elections with new governments ready to reach an agreement.

4 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp cornflour
10 tbsp sugar
4 cups milk
1 1/2 cups cream
2 tbsp whipped cream (chilled)
3 tsp gelatine
6 cherries

Procedure:

Put 4 tbsp water in a small saucepan. Sprinkle gelatine over it. Do not stir. Keep aside.
Mix coco and cornflour in 1/2 cup milk. Boil remaining milk with sugar, for 10 minutes.

Russia’s veto late Monday toppled a Western plan to extend the life of the UN mission for another year, or even two more weeks, to work out a compromise. The vote was 10-1 with four abstentions — China, Vietnam, Libya and Uganda.

Motorists Rent Tyres to Pass Registration Renewal Test

Dubai, June 16: Hundreds of motorists across Dubai and Sharjah have been caught renting tyres to avoid the cost of buying new ones to pass vehicle tests for renewal of registration.

More than 2,000 trucks and cars across the two emirates were found with unsafe tyres between April and June as part of a nationwide inspection campaign by the Ministry of Interior. The motorists were found to be renting tyres for two hours to use them to pass the vehicle testing required for registration renewal.

New Delhi, June 15: Come July, star gazers will be in for a treat — a total solar eclipse that will remain unsurpassed in duration for the next 123 years.

And in addition to it, they will also witness a lunar eclipse in the same month.

A total eclipse of the sun will be visible on July 22 from within a narrow corridor that traverses half of the Earth starting in India and crossing through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China.

After leaving mainland Asia, the path crosses Japan’s Ryukyu Islands and curves southeast through the Pacific Ocean.

Sukhoi squadron in Northeast formally inducted

Tezpur (Assam), June 15: Four frontline combat aircraft Sukhoi-30MKI were formally inducted in India’s sensitive north-eastern region on Monday, a strategic decision to move advanced assets close to the Chinese border, defence officials said.

A defence spokesperson said four multi-role strike fighter jets at the Indian Air Force (IAF) base in Tezpur, about 185 km north of Assam’s main city of Guwahati, would soon be part of a Sukhoi-30MKI squadron comprising of 18 aircrafts.

Tides stymie fuel removal from sunken vessel

Anchorage, June 15: Divers began removing fuel from a sunken oil field supply ship in Alaska’s Cook Inlet Sunday, but the work was soon halted when the inlet’s notorious tides started rocking a vessel being used as a staging area.

Divers pumped out about 1,000 gallons (3,800 liters) of an estimated 30,000 gallons (114,000 liters) of diesel on board the sunken Monarch, according to a spokesman for the owner of the 166-foot vessel.

Yashwant Sinha says won’t quit BJP

Ranchi, June 14: Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, who quit as party Vice President while attacking the leadership for not taking responsibility for the electoral debacle, on Sunday said he was “happy” that his resignation has been accepted but maintained that he will remain in the party.

“I had sent my resignation to be accepted. Therefore I’m happy that my resignation has been accepted and I have no further comments to make,” the former External Affairs and Finance Minister said when his reaction was sought over the issue.

HC asks lower courts to fix time-frame for case disposal

New Delhi, June 14: The mounting pendency of cases has prompted the Delhi High Court to direct all judges in the lower courts to fix a time-frame of three years for deciding trial of each case.

“Each officer must fix time-frame for each stage of trial (like completion of pleadings, framing of charges, recording of evidence) and must ensure adherence by all concerned.

“Endeavour shall be made to gradually reduce the average trial period of each case (civil and criminal) to 2/3 years,” the Delhi High Court has said, issuing a slew of directions to enhance the disposal rate.

‘Racism exists in Oz but entire society not affected’

Melbourne, June 14: Admitting that “racism” did exist in Australia, the country’s top official on race relations on Sunday said the entire society was not affected by it but warned that the recent spate of attacks on Indians might hurt education market and other areas of trade.

Race Discrimination Commissioner Tom Calma said Australia could not allow a repeat of what happened in the 1990s, when racial comments by politician Pauline Hanson enraged people across Asia.

He said attacks on Indian students in Australia had the potential to hurt the students market as well as other trade.

• 1 Cups flour
• 1/2 Cup shortening
• 1/2 Cup peanut butter
• 1/2 Cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 Cup light brown sugar
• 1/2 tsp Vanilla
• 1 tsp Baking powder
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1 Egg

Procedure:

• Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and keep aside.
• Now cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars. Beat in vanilla and egg.
• Add flour mixture to the above and stir to mix well.

BSNL drops plan to bid for Tunisia license

New Delhi, June 14: BSNL has dropped its plans to bid for telecom licence in Tunisia as the PSU finds the returns not enough to enter that market through bidding of licence.

“We did not bid for Tunisia… we did not find returns on our investment,” a senior BSNL official told PTI.

Earlier the PSU’s CMD Kuldeep Goyal had said BSNL was planning to bid for telecom licence in Tunisia and get a footprint in the African market, which has immense potential.

Mumbai, June 14:King Khan might have been Bollywood’s highest advance tax payer last year. But the I-T department has not forgotten that the man still owes them Shah money from nearly ten years ago.

The Bombay High Court on Thursday admitted an appeal, by the I-T department, challenging an order of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), which had ruled in the star’s favour in June 2008.

In the first of its appeals, the I-T department seeks to claim a sum of Rs 19.43 lakh from the actor, out of a total exemption of Rs 72.67 lakh for the assessment year of 1998-1999.
