Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has once again skipped a programme at Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU).
Chief Minister who was supposed to be the guest of the three-day National Youth Science Congress inaugural on Monday being attended by 800 plus delegates from across the country.

According to sources, Naidu was supposed to be swearing in as chief minister at the oath-taking ceremony advised against participating in the programmes at ANU by some ‘Vastu’ Pandits. However, university officials were informed in the eleventh hour about the change in the plans of the CM.

‘Safe Colony’ project: Old City neglected once again

The city police have identified 77 colonies as part of the ‘Safe Colony’ project, which are more vulnerable to crime, but many colonies from old city which are more prone to crime being neglected by the police.

According to the project taken ‘Police will block access to the locality during the night’, and the entrance and exit of Safe colonies will be under vigil.

As part of the concept, initially the police will take up two to three colonies under each police station limits and will block all entry and exit points in these areas from 10 pm and 6 am every day.

Fox News apologizes for remark on Muslims

Police seek 15 days custody of Hyderabadi techi

The Hyderabad Police on Monday sought 15-day custody of the suspected ISIS recruit was arrested for allegedly trying to leave the country to join the Middle-East terror group for custodial interrogation.

According to sources, police sought the 32-year-old Hyderabad-based engineer’s custodial interrogation, saying he was required to be quizzed to ascertain the identities of other members and to interrogate him for engaging in terrorist acts against a country.

EAMCET likely to be on 14 MAY

Papi Reddy Minister of Telangana higher education council chairperson on Monday announced the examination dates of competitive examinations, EAMCET, LAWCET, I-CET, PE-CET ,E-CET, and ED-CET.

According to Reddy, EAMCET examination will be held on May 14, LAWCET on 19, E-CET on 21, I-CET on 22 and PE-CET on May 25. ED-CET will held on June 6.

He also confirmed that students from Andhra Pradesh will have to write Telangana CETs to secure admission in the state. T Government is ready to help the AP government in conducting the examinations, he added.

Name “Mohiuddin” creating a buzz In Bazarghat

Havoc spread along the streets of Bazarghat, a middle class locality in Nampally under Habeebnagar police station limits, soon after the word spread about the arrest of Salman Mohiuddin at Rajive Gandhi airport.

Compulsory computer education soon in the Schools of Telangana

The State Council of Education and Research Training (SCERT) send a proposals to the Telangana Government in regard of Computer education in government schools as a compulsory subject from Class VIII, to be implemented from the next academic year in the State.

Record of Wakf properties will go online shortly

BJP eyes on dalits vote in Delhi

The BJP is trying out its best to garner the support of Dalits in the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls.

BJP on Friday held the Maha Dalit Sammelan at Talkatora Stadium, BJP chief Amit Shah listed out various measures like Jan Dhan scheme and regularization of illegal colonies in the national capital to woo the Dalit voters.

Dalits, constitutes one-fourth of the electorate, are huge vote bank for BJP as 12 out of the 70 assembly constituencies are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates.

State will ban Child Pornography Websites: Rao

Telangana government has decided to ban the usage of child pornographic sites in the state.

Announcing this in the legislative council, IT Minister KT Rama Rao said the State government was intended to implement the provisions of the Central IT Act strictly. “We will ban the all pornographic sites. We will take as strict action against such ISPs”, said Rao.

The new IT policy will be placed, whenever the next Cabinet meeting is held,” he said. The announcement came after MLCs raised the issue of an Army colonel who was arrested for posting child porn on the net.

New Canadian envoy looking forward to working with Indian Government

W.Bengal Transport Minister Madan Mitra remanded for judicial custody till Jan. 30

West Bengal Transport Minister and Saradha scam accused Madan Mitra on Friday was remanded for judicial custody till January 30 by the Alipore Court.

“Madan Mitra was produced in the Alipore Court today. We applied for bail, we have cited the law books and after a prolonged hearing, he has been remanded for judicial custody till January 30,” the Trinamool Congress ( TMC ) leader’s lawyer told the media.

Meanwhile, a petition was filed in the Calcutta High Court seeking removal of Madan Mitra from the post of state Transport Minister.

AIFF Doesn’t Rule Out ISL, I-League Merger

All India Football Federation (AIFF) general secretary Kushal Das has not ruled out the merger of the franchise-based Indian Super League (ISL) and the club-centric I-League in a bid to follow the thumb rule of “one country, one league”.

Speaking to the media at the launch of the eighth I-League here Friday, Das admitted that the AIFF was seized of the country hosting two “national league” competitions, leading to issues over scheduling and player fatigue.

One kilometer long complain letter for Modi

A group of students from Allahabad and Varanasi have initiated a campaign to prepare a one kilo metere long letter for Prime Minister Narendra Modi With an aim to make the Prime Minister aware of the problems faced by residents of his constituency.
