Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mufti Mohammed Syed on Saturday said that Jammu and Kashmir’s betterment would be his only concern while indulging in negotiations for government formation in the state, adding that he will not trade the mandate given to his party by the people of the state.

RBI revokes ban on carrying higher denomination currency notes to Nepal, Bhutan

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has revoked the ban on carrying currency notes of the denominations Rs. 1000 and Rs. 500 to Nepal and Bhutan.

The RBI amended a regulation which it had imposed since May, 2000 to allow export and import of currency notes of higher denominations from the two countries. The Central bank, however, has put an upper limit for carrying such notes at Rs. 25,000 per person.

The government had imposed such a regulation to curb the smuggling of counterfeit currency to India. The restriction had created inconvenience to a large number of Nepali workers in India.

Police arrested 16 years old, suspect sodomy

Saidabad Police have arrested a 16 year old boy and alerted the section of law in the custodial death of 11 year old Asif.

According to sources Asif was an inmate of the Govt Juvenile home was found dead mysteriously besides sleeping area. Police found the nail marks on his neck and forensic doctors too told the investigation that boy was strangulated to death.

Police arrested a 16 year old boy of same Home, who confessed to have killed the boy by pressing his neck to the washbasin after he was sodomised. The accused is in the custody of the Home authorities.

US President Barack Obama has said “safe havens” of terrorism inside Pakistan were not acceptable and those behind Mumbai terror attacks must be brought to justice.

Women held with 20Kg drugs

A Nigerian woman was held with 20Kg of Ephedrine drug y Narcotics control Bureau, when she was trying to smuggle it at Rajive Gandhi International Airport ion Shamshabad.

According to sources the young woman Linda Ronn was trying to board a flight top Sauth Africa at Shamshabad Airport with packets of drugs, was seized by the NCB officials.

“There are many students aged above 25 years who are pursuing their Ph.Ds. Most of them lack clarity in their academics. Microsoft HoloLens to take NASA scientists to Mars

NASA has teamed up with Microsoft to develop a new software that will enable scientists to work on Mars virtually using a wearable technology.

Developed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the software called OnSight will give scientists a means to plan and, along with the Mars Curiosity rover, conduct science operations on the Red Planet.

“OnSight gives our rover scientists the ability to walk around and explore Mars right from their offices,” said Dave Lavery, programme executive for the Mars Science Laboratory mission at NASA Headquarters in Washington.

SpiceJet shares slump nearly 8% on fresh financial worries

Transgenders demand a separate Commission like HRC

Members of Telangana Hijra Transgender Samithi raised a demand on Monday that a separate transgender commission along the lines of Human Rights Commission and Women’s Commission should be set up in the State.

The demand raised by Transgender after the murder of a transgender Pravalika in the wee hours of Saturday in Kukatpally.
