As the world awaits second royal baby after Prince George—the Duchess Of Cambridge has meanwhile been admitted to St Mary’s hospital’s Lindo Wing​ in Paddington for labour. According to reports, the Duchess of Cambridge is several days overdue with her second child as the date was somewhere in April.

Further it has been reported that Prince William is expected to be by her side while she delivers her second royal baby. Kate was driven to the hospital from her London home, Kensington Palace.

New York City named world’s best for young people to live in

There is good news for young people residing in New York City or planning to move to the city as it has been named top city for youth.

According to a survey, the New York City grabbed the top spot in the world’s top 55 cities for youth list followed by London and Berlin, News.com.au reported.

Market turns distinctly weak; Sensex, Nifty down 1.5 pct

Distinctly weak tendency prevailed for the third week in a row as the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex and the CNX Nifty plunged by another 1.5 pct to close at almost four-month low on host of negative factors during the truncated week under review.

The BSE and the NSE were closed on May 1, for observing “Maharashtra Day” holiday.

Farmer dies of ‘shock’ due to crop damage

A 65-year-old farmer died allegedly due to shock after seeing the damage to his crops due to unseasonal rain in Nathna village in the district, police said.

“According to the information provided by the family of the deceased, he died of shock after seeing his damaged wheat crop last night,” SDM Ramanuj Singh said.

The deceased had left his harvested crop in his two bighas of land which got damaged due to untimely rain, Singh said.

He added that necessary steps were being taken to help the family get financial help from Chief Minister’s discretionary fund.

Karan Johar to present Hindi version of ‘Baahubali’

Filmmaker Karan Johar will present the upcoming two-part epic film “Baahubali”, originally made in Telugu and Tamil, in Hindi.

The movie, helmed by Telugu director S S Rajamouli, is set to release on July 10.

“Proud and honoured to present ssrajamouli’s labor of love… #LiveTheEpic #Baahubali… Releasing 10th July,2015!” tweeted Johar, 42.

Rajamouli welcomed the “Student of the Year” director on the project.

“Delighted to be associated with karanjohar who wil b presenting #Baahubali in Hindi. Welcome aboard, Sir. Looking forward to a happy sailing,” he posted on Twitter.

Set up separate jails for terrorists, segregate them from ordinary prisoners: Rajnath singh

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday issued an advisory to states and union territories asking them to set up new and separate prisons, outside the city area, for housing only terrorists.

MHA added, till the time separate jails are being built, movement of high-risk prisoners should be restricted inside jails to stop them from indoctrinating other prisoners.

The Home Ministry’s suggestion has come in the wake of reports received from central security agencies.

32 terrorists killed in Pakistan

At least 32 terrorists and five security persons were killed during fierce clashes in a Pakistani tribal region, an official statement said on Friday.

Five terrorists were killed when they clashed with security forces in Tirah Valley of the Khyber Agency on Friday, an Inter Services Public Relations release said. On Thursday five soldiers, including an officer, were killed in clashes with terrorists. During these clashes, 27 terrorists were killed, said the release.

During the ongoing military operation — Khyber II — security forces have achieved a huge success, said the release.

Food Krafters buys iconic brand Hyderabad House

Food Krafters and Services LLP (FKS) today said it has acquired Hyderabad House (HH), a leading brand that serves famous Hyderabadi ‘Kacche Ghost ki Biryani’ and other Deccan delicacies.

The company said it also plans to invest Rs 35 crore in the next two years to open 50 outlets in the country.

“To add more visibility and vibrancy, FKS intends to rebrand Hyderabad House in an all new design, with a view of providing traditional culinary experience to its patrons in a semi QSR format,” the company said in a statement without disclosing the size of the deal.

Ikea India sought allotment of 50,000 square meters land from Telangana Government in Hyderabad(TSIIC) at a rate of Rs 19.21 crore an acre to set up business in and around Hyderabad, according to a CMO release on Thursday.

After negotiations between the TSIIC and the IKEA representatives, it was agreed upon to allot land listed under plot numbers 25, 26, 27 and 29 at Knowledge City under Rayadurgam limits.

2 houses of the same apartment burgled: gold, cash missing

60 year old dies as DCM van knocked down the scooter

In a deadly mishap, a 60 year-old retired employee met with an accident and died on the spot.

According to police the man was on his way to home on his scooter along with her grand daughter. A DCM van (TS 08 UB 0279) which was coming from back knocked down the scooter under Uppal police station limits on Thursday afternoon.

Facebook glitch makes outside links disappear

Facebook has reported that a glitch had caused users posts to disappear and new links are apparently being blocked when posting is attempted.

According to the Verge, the bug only affected posts containing links to content outside of Facebook. The bug has caused major problems for users.

The problem seems to have begun with issues in Facebook’s image-scraping system, which automatically pulls pictures from posted links.

Saudi troops repulse ‘major border attack’ by Houthi rebels

Saudi forces have reportedly repulsed a major attack launched by Shia Houthi rebels on their southern border, Saudi state media said.

An air campaign led by a Saudi-led coalition had targeted Houthi rebels in Yemen since late March, reported the BBC.

However, Thursday’s attack, near the Saudi town of Najran, was the major assault on Saudi territory since air strikes began. Saudi reports said that “dozens” of rebels were killed.

As clashes continued, aid groups said that a lack of fuel was severely impeding their operations in Yemen.

If you want to stay away from type 2 diabetes, choose water instead of sugary drink everyday, as per a new study.

The research indicated that for each 5 percent increase of a person’s total energy intake provided by sweet drinks including soft drinks, the risk of developing type 2 diabetes may increase by 18 percent.

However, the study also estimates that replacing the daily consumption of one serving of a sugary drink with either water or unsweetened tea or coffee can lower the risk of developing diabetes by between 14percent and 25 percent.
