Medical student shocked to know their allotment order is invalid

(Siasat News)NTR University of Health Science conducted Medical Counseling, which filled 2,050 medical seat in 14 government colleges and 3,050 seats in 22 private medical colleges, asked the student to report respective colleges where they are allotted before July 31.

When the student report the colleges they were shocked to know that there allotment is invalid, and said the case is pending in High court.

As per the norm under category A the fee is Rs. 60,000 per annum, category B seat fee is

JD(S) leader shot dead by 25 miscreants

(Siasat News)Tension prevailed following the killing of a JD (S) leader by a gang of about 25 miscreants near Nelamangala.

Police said Krishnappa was attacked with lethal weapons and arms including guns killing two. Identity of another killed is yet to be identified, police said. Initial reports said old enmity might be the reason behind the incident, police added.

Top police officials visited the spot and 10 KSRP platoons were deployed at Nelamangala to control the situation, police said.

President Pranab Mukherjee termed the war against terrorism as the fourth world war

Amid chanting of vedic hymns, the ashes of Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna were immersed today in holy river Ganga in Uttarakhand’s Rishikesh town.

The urn containing the ashes was brought here from Mumbai by actress Dimple Kapadia, wife of late Rajesh Khanna, and her daughter Rinki.

Amid chanting of vedic hymns, the two immersed the ashes in the sacred river.

A large number of people witnessed the event. Khanna died last week in Mumbai after protracted illness.

Kalmadi restrained from going to London for Olympics

Sacked CWG Organising Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi was today restrained by the Delhi High Court from going to London to attend the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games, saying that his participation can cause “embarassment” to the nation.

A bench of Acting Chief Justice A K Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw also barred Kalmadi from leaving the country till July 27.

Girl Kicked out of Train as she resist molestation

(Siasat News)19-year old girl kicked out of the train when she resisted molestation. Victim is a employee of garment factory in Bangalore, she was on her way back to home in Vidyaranyapuram, Mysore as she was on leave.

The victim is a orphan and was living with her grandmother. When train reached Ramanagaram four youths entered the couch and started teasing her.

When one of the youths tried to molest her, she got up from her seat and went near the door, and said “I will inform Police”, this made one of the youths angry and kicked her out of the train.

NCP warns Cong of pull out if demands not met

Upping the ante, the NCP on Tuesday warned the Congress that if its demands like a coordination committee for the UPA coalition and better treatment of allies were not resolved by Wednesday it would pull out from the government.

Oil Marketing Companies have hiked the prices of petrol ranging from 70 paise to 91 paise a litre across the country from midnight last night.

The increase is necessiated due to a rise in the international prices of crude which was hovering around 101 dollars a barrel and the mounting value of Rupee against the US Dollar which was around Rs 55.36 a USD. The IOC had accumulated a loss of Rs 1,053 crore and the OMCs had accumulated a deficit of Rs 2,323 crore.

NRI seat in Engineering Colleges to remain vacant from this year

(Siasat News)NRI quota, which was the interest of the Management of Engineering Colleges, now seamed to be lost, as government tighter norms of NRI quota admission.
In the previous year management was allowed to fill NRI quota where they used to take huge fee to give admission, where they even don’t care about the intermediate marks, but from this year government reduced NRI quota from 15 to 5 percentage.
According to the new norm NRI seat should be given to only those student whose parent is in Abroad, and AICTE will supervise these admissions.
