McMurry said: “(Woods) says he’s been playing with a bad neck for about a month and thinks it could be a bulging d***.” She later quickly corrected her mistake.

I want more time

Mumbai, May 11: Lalit Modi, the Indian Premier League (IPL) Commissioner suspended by the BCCI, asked for more time to submit his replies to the charge sheet issued by the Board.

The 15-day deadline for replies to a five-point notice issued by the Board to Modi ended on Monday.

It is learnt that Modi asked for more documents from the BCCI to prepare his response. The Board is likely to grant him the five-day extension asked, though no official confirmation has come from BCCI so far.

Indian eves crush Sri Lanka to enter T20 WC semifinals

Dhoni puzzled by what went wrong

Bridgetown, May 10: Mahendra Singh Dhoni has dismissed suggestions that a lengthy Indian Premier League may have contributed to his side’s weak performance in the World Twenty20.

Deciding to bat first, Australia were in deep trouble after losing five wickets for 67 runs before Cameron White (85) and Michael Hussey (39) revived the innings with an unbroken 101-run stand.

Suraj Randiv took three for 20 while Angelo Mathews got two wickets.

Sri Lanka fumbled in their chase right from the start and were bowled out for 87 runs in 16.2 overs.

Mitchell Johnson took three wickets while Dirk Nannes and Setven Smith took two wickets each.

Barbados, May 09: The uncertainty over Sri Lankan spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan’s further participation in the ongoing Twenty20 World Cup is finally over with the ICC confirming Thilan Thushara as his replacement for the rest of the tournament.

The International Cricket Council on Friday confirmed that the event’s technical committee has approved Thushara as a replacement for Murali, who has been struggling with a groin injury.

As per the tournament rules once replaced, a player cannot return, which means Twenty World Cup is over for Murali.
