A new study has found that men are better at dieting than women, as men lose weight faster and find it easier to keep off.

According to a study carried on 1,850 adults, a large percentage of men even went as far as to declare that dieting is ‘easy’ and the stats showed men are better at losing weight over both long and short timescales, the Mirror reported.

Porn addiction linked to low marriage rates in US

Using data from the General Social Survey (GSS) to analyse how 18 to 35-year-old men used the internet between 2000 and 2004, the team from the University of West Chester in the US measured the correlation between pornography use and marriage rates among 1,500 participants.

They focused on how many reported having used the internet to view pornography, the Washington Post reported.

Higher internet usage was associated with lower marriage rates.

Researchers have found that the ability of some breathalysers, widely sold to the British public to detect potentially unsafe levels of alcohol in blood while driving, varies considerably.

The findings call into question the regulatory process for approving these sorts of devices for personal use, say the researchers, particularly as false reassurance about a person’s safety to drive could have potentially catastrophic consequences.

The researchers compared the diagnostic accuracy of three personal use breathalysers to detect alcohol levels in blood in 208 adults.

Mature motorists worse at texting while driving

In a surprising finding, researchers have found that older, more mature motorists – who typically are better drivers in many circumstances – are much worse than their younger counterparts when texting while driving.

An interdisciplinary research team at the Wayne State University explored the relationship between texting, driving performance and age.

Men doing household chores get less sex: Study
