Jon Hamm, who plays the troubled Don Draper on the hit AMC drama ‘Mad Men,’ has opened up about his role.

The 44-year-old actor admitted that delving into the darkness of his character Don Draper was ” challenging ” at times, People Magazine reported.

Hamm, who recently revealed he a stint in rehab last month for alcohol addiction, said that it’s not easy to maintain that head space for a long time, adding that people want to go home and want to wash it off and leave it at work.

“Life throws a lot at you sometimes and you have to deal with it as much as you can. That’s why you have family and friends and co-workers to help you with that,” he said.
