New Delhi, June 13: Two people from Ghittorni village on the Gurgaon-Mehrauli border were arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl. A case of rape has been lodged against accused Pramod (20) and Irfan (21). Both the accused are tailors and worked in a nearby shop.

New Delhi, June 12: A married woman and her paramour allegedly killed her alcoholic husband after he caught them together in their north Delhi shanty four days ago, police said Friday, adding the duo have been arrested.
Kashmira and her paramour Amit allegedly stabbed an inebriated Mohinder Singh to death in their hut in Kishan Ganj area June 8. They hid the body in the house for over 30 hours and then threw it near a drain.

Bangalore police seize gold worth 60 million rupees

Bangalore, June 12: Sleuths of Karnataka Police in Bangalore, who had arrested nine persons and seized from their possession stolen gold ornaments worth 60 million rupees, have managed to solve one of the sensational robberies in the recent past.

The Bangalore City’s Commissioner of Police S M Bidari disclosed this on Thursday.

A gang of burglars looted the ornaments on June 2 when they waylaid the manager of Muthoot Finance Company, a private non-banking company.

Yogesh Sharma murdered his two daughters – Aarti (4) and one-and-half-year-old Priyanshi – with a sharp edged weapon on Thursday when his wife Rinki was not present in the house at Jever village in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, Superintendent of Police (Rural) S K Verma said.

An Indian Student Again Attacked In Australia

Merborne, June 12: In yet another racial attack on Indians in Australia, a 22-year-old student was allegedly assaulted by a teenager in Adelaide after making “rude” comments about his turban.
Police said the student suffered a broken nose in the assault in Adelaide’s busy market area of Rundle Mall yesterday and that they have arrested a 17-year-old youth in this connection.

They said the attacker has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court.

UP teen raped by father over 3 yrs

Lucknow, June 12: A 15-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh has accused her father of raping her for three years and making her pregnant twice, police said on Thursday.

“The class 10 student, a resident of Mahadev Nagar in Aligarh district, alleged that her father forced her into an illicit relationship, threatening her,” police inspector Udaiveer Malik said over telephone from Aligarh.

Nand Kishore, who is absconding, is a lecturer at a college in Sonbhadra district. A case has been registered against him.

Nightclub guards held for tying up boys

Mumbai, June 12: The security guards of a posh nightclub in Belapur tied two teenaged boys to a fire hydrant for over six hours as a punishment for trying to steal some aluminium pipes and metal sheets kept there to renovate the restobar.

Alam Shaikh (13) and Mohammed Asif Idrisi (15) were illegally detained from 6 am to 12.30 pm on Thursday by two guards — Bageecha Singh Bhullar (43) and Ujwal Sharma (21) — of Indulge Restobar. Both the guards were arrested.

Teens kidnap, sodomize, kill 8-year-old

Patna, June 11: Eight-year-old Satyam was kidnapped, sodomized and killed by 14-year-old Avinash and 13-year-old Khursheed alias Monu, all neighbours at Ashok Nagar under the Kankerbagh police station.

American held at Chennai airport for carrying revolver

Chennai, June 11: An American national was on Thursday arrested at the Chennai airport for carrying a loaded revolver, officials said.

Central Industrial and Security Force personnel found the weapon while scanning the baggage of Semilar (58) when he was about to board a Mumbai-bound flight at the domestic airport here.

He was later handed over to the airport authorities, CISF officials said.

Semilar had arrived here last week from New Delhi to undergo treatment at a private hospital.

After preliminary inquiry, officials said he had a valid licence issued in the US.

Hyderabad, June 11: Unidentified miscreants abducted and robbed the salesman of a private company of Rs 16 lakh at Saidabad in broad daylight while an elderly couple were relieved of cash and gold by four unidentified persons at gunpoint at Hayathnagar on Wednesday.

In the filmi style robbery at Saidabad, the salesman of Kothapetbased Sri Jyothi Marketing, a dealer of Hindustan Lever Limited, M Ramchander, and the office assistant, D Satyanarayana, were robbed of Rs 16 lakh at knife-point.

Chennai, June 11: Tension prevailed in the Puzhal prison, on the city’s outskirts, on Wednesday after life convict ‘Welding’ Kumar was stabbed to death by another convict.

According to police, Kumar and his friend, Nehru, were walking inside the prison when they spotted another inmate, Anbu, smoking a beedi. Nehru questioned Anbu as to how he dared to smoke in front of Kumar.

Anbu did not respond and continued smoking. This infuriated ‘Welding’ Kumar and he started abusing him. But when Anbu refused to heed him, Kumar drew out a knife and tried to stab him.
