Five killed in road accidents today

In separate cases, five persons were killed in road accidents in different parts of the city and its outskirts.

A 62-year-old pedestrian, K Rajaiah, died of injuries which he suffered after being hit by an unidentified auto-rickshaw near Sriram Nagar on Friday evening. He was admitted to a nearby private hospital where he succumbed on Saturday, according to Banjara Hills police. He was a retired government employee and resident of Kalyan Nagar.

Police begin investigations in lorry-driver’s death

A 28-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Nagole in LB Nagar police limits.

According to police, the deceased, D Ramakoti, a lorry-driver took the extreme step on Friday night. However, his family members alleged that Ramakoti has been murdered by wife after both had an argument over some issue. The couple was married about seven years ago.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case of suspicious death and began investigations. (INN)

Passenger held with gold powder
(Siasat News): The custom officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport arrested a passenger with the 1 kg gold powder and seized the stuff.

According to the details, the passenger Sheikh Altaf Mohsin, native of Mumbai, reached Hyderabad from Muscat.

However, during the custom checking, the officials found 1 kg gold powder in his luggage as he could not satisfy the officials about the contraband, he was handed over Shamshabad custom office where the legal action would be taken.

A Teenager commits suicide after allegedly raped by police constable

Depressed over being cheated by a police constable in the name of marriage a 17 year-old-girl ended her life at Yousufguda on Thursday night.

According to the police the woman Tokudu Biyapu Priyanka (17) a intermediate student of Government Junior Collage Vijayanagar colony and daughter of T. William, a head constable with APSP first battalion was in love with K. Satish Kumar, a constable.

Three persons commits suicide in different cases

In separate cases, three persons committed suicide due to different reasons.

In Shamirpet police limits, 26-year-old House wife G Parvati, wife of Prasad committed suicide by pouring kerosene herself and setablaze due to financial problems. He took the extreme step on December 12 evening hours. And she was died on the spot. She was a resident of Thomkunta Shamirpet.

Police sources said that Anusha, 27, was the wife of one Venkatesh of Osmanpura. She hanged herself to death in her house. Her husband was a driver in GHMC.

Pregnant Women ‘Harassed’ For Dowry, Commits Suicide

A 21 year old pregnant woman committed suicide in Ghatkesar after being harrased by her husband for additional dowry. The victim, identified as P.Swapna, was married to P.Venkanna. P.Venkanna was a labour at the time of marriage he was took dowry from Swapna’s parents.They give 50 grams gold, 3.5 lakh cash and a bike as dowry about one and-a-half-years ago.

Venkanna, however, started seeking an additional 50,000 as dowry. Apart from this, he also suspected Swapna’s fidelity.

Kidnapper IT student arrested
(Siasat News): An IT student was arrested by Begumpet police who lured a teenager girl through Social Networking Website Facebook and had made false promises of marrying her.

As per the details, one Narsing Rao, 20, befriended a girl through Facebook and promised to marry her. Not only this, he also asked her to borne the expenses of marriage by taking her gold ornaments.

Degree student booked for raping teenager

The Hayathnagar police on Wednesday registered a case against a youth who raped a teenager on many occasions on the pretext of marrying her.

In her complaint, the 16-year-old victim alleged that the accused Prashant, a degree student, developed physical relationship with her by promising that he would marry her. However, later he avoided her.

Based on the complaint, the Hayathnagar police booked a case of rape against Prashant and launched a manhunt to nab him, Inspector G Srinivas Kumar said. (INN)

Fake foreign currency notes seized from two Sudanese nationals

Two Sudanese nationals who allegedly tried to exchange counterfeit foreign currency notes were apprehended today from Mirchowk here, police said.

Badreldain, a businessman, and Hamam Mustafa Abdel Rahim Ibrahim, a degree student, were nabbed by West Zone Task Force sleuths and seized 20 fake currency notes of USD 100 from them, they said.

The accused, Badreldain, collected 20 fake USD notes from one of his friends in Sudan, reached India on December 6, met his friend Hamam Mustafa and tried to exchange the fake notes, police said.

A software engineer’s murder in Hyderabad

A software engineer, who went missing from his house on December 4, was found murdered at Anantagiri Hills near Vikarabad on Tuesday. Police identified the culprits and took them into custody after the prime accused mistakenly shared photographs of the body with several people on his facebook friends’ list.

Goud had married Sandhya, Kumar’s sister, seven years ago. The marriage ended in divorce a few years later.

Seven-year-old girl stabbed to death in Hyderabad

A seven-year-old girl was Tuesday stabbed to death by a youth described as a maniac by police at Secunderabad Railway Station here.

The shocking incident took place on platform number 10 when Priyadarshini, along with her father and grandmother, was waiting to board a train to Maharashtra’s Solapur to attend a marriage.

As her father Srinivas went to buy the tickets, a youth appeared and attacked the girl with the knife. Other passengers standing nearby caught hold of the youth, thrashed him before handing him over to railway police.

Auto driver dead body found suspicious manner

A 42-year old auto driver dead body found from suspicious manner near Banjara Darwaza on Tuesday morning.

According to the Golconda police, Deceased Syed Waseem Mohammed, (42) a resident of Kathora House in Golconda was found dead near Banjara Darwaza on Tuesday morning. His body bore a few injuries. Husband kills wife over petty dispute

A 32-year-old woman brutally murdered by her husband in Bowenpally police station limits.

According to Bowenpally police, the deceased, B Nagamani had a quarrel with her husband Ashok on December 9. Although the petty dispute was reportedly resolved, Angry Ashok strangulated her due to which she was died on the spot on Monday late night hours at her residence opposite post office building, Ansari bazaar of Bowenpally.

In Tappachabutra police limits, A 38 year-old-G Raju Centring worker committed suicide in drunken condition by consuming some unknown poison allegedly on Monday at her residence in Tappachabutra, immediately shifted to Osmania General Hospital where undergoing treatment on Tuesday. Tappachabutra police said.

DCM van went haywire, one dies
(Siasat News): The driver of a DCM van lost control near at Ring road near Rethi Bowli, causing the death of one persons and injuring other three.

Police said that the driver of the van was driving the vehicle towards the office of the water works situated in Laxmiguda.

However, in a bizarre situation, the driver suddenly lost the control of the van and it took a reversed turn where a contractor Mohd. Jameel, 48, resident of Tallagadda was hit by it.

Two housewives succumb to burn injuries.

A 28-year-old woman died of burn injuries which she suffered when her clothes caught fire while cooking.

According to Kanchanbagh police, the incident occurred on December 4 when the deceased, Asia Begum, W/o Fakruddin suffered burn injuries at her residence in Champapet. She was admitted to Gandhi Hospital where she died on Sunday Morning.

Mentally unsound person commit suicide

A 23-year-old man committed suicide by hanging at his residence at Ashok nagar in Chilkalguda police limits.

According to police, the deceased T Anji, a laborer, he was mentally unsound, on Dec 7 deceased committed suicide by hanging. Police registered a case. After autopsy deceased body handed over to his relatives. (INN)

Student killed in train accident

A 15-year-old boy died in train accident while crossing the track on Dec 7.
According to Kachiguda Railway Police, the accident occurred on Saturday evening between Sitaphalmandi and Arts College stations. The deceased was later identified as M Sai Kiran, S/o Satyanarayana a 7th class student and resident of Warasiguda Secunderabad. (INN)

Police retrieve two bodies from lake

The Maheshwaram police fished out the body of 70-year-old women from Fateh sagar lake at Peddakodakal of Maheshwaram.

The deceased, identified as Erra Yellamma W/o late Pochaiah of Dubbacherla, Maheshwaram, a Housewife, her body was retrieved from Fatehsagar Lake on Sunday Morning. Police suspect that Yellamma might have accidentally drowned into the lake. The body was later shifted to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

Aneesul Ghuraba manager held for assaulting children

Mr. Mohammed Shaker Ali (40) was arrested by the police on the charges of assaulting the children housed in Aneesul Ghuraba Orphanage, Nampally. Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman, A.P. State Minorities Commission had lodged a complaint in the police two months back about him. After investigations, police found him guilty. It registered a case under section 324 of Juvenile act.
